Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College Admissions

The admission process is different for the different courses that are available at SMVEC. The steps to be followed for each course is mentioned below:

For B.Tech

The aspirant first needs to register for the CENTAC online
After registration, a merit list (on the basis of 10+2 marks) will be prepared by CENTAC and ranks will be allotted accordingly
Candidates will be offered admission on the basis of the rank obtained in the CENTAC merit list
For aspirants who wish to get admission under Management Quota, the Common Entrance Test for Pondicherry Private Engineering Colleges (CETPPEC) is compulsory.

For M.Tech

Aspirants have to appear for the GATE entrance exam
CENTAC PG prepares a merit list based on the marks obtained in the GATE entrance exam
Ranks are allotted accordingly to offer admissions to students
For the Non-GATE candidates, seats are allotted on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying degree

For MBA

Aspirants need to register for CENTAC PG online.
They will be allotted ranks based on their performance in common entrance exams ( CAT / XAT / MAT / ATMA etc).
Finally, candidates are offered admission based on their ranks.

For MCA

Aspirants need to register online for the CENTAC PG.
Candidates need to give the CENTAC PG MCA entrance exam.
On the basis of performance in CENTAC PG MCA entrance exam, candidates are allotted ranks.

The college has a sprawling green campus of 125 acres of landscape with well-furnished infrastructure with Wi-Fi enabled campus, central library, High end computing facilities, individualized department buildings with advanced laboratories,centralized air-conditioning auditorium, Campus security cameras and Video Surveillance System,mineral water plant, hostels for both boys and girls and other essential amenities like ATM and Post Office. Library: SMVEC has a spacious library with approximately 58,000 books, with a huge variety in terms of the genre from Indian and foreign journals, newsletters and magazines, to course books and novels etc,. A separate reference section and reading hall is also available for the students

The course I have selected is electronic and communication. The faculty teaching is very good, and the student ratio for each class is acceptable.
The college does not provide any internships to the students; it offers the best in-plant training for the top-performing students in my college.
Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College has provided excellent placement opportunities for students in companies like TCS and CTS.
The fee structure is high, at around 90000 per year, and the hostel facility costs around 60000.
I am also very proud to say that my college is the only college that has excellent lab facilities for the Mechanical Department.
In St. Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College, there are separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostel rooms are kept very clean, as well as the bathrooms. The facilities provided in the hostel are perfect and superb.
The faculties are good, and many faculty members in the department hold a PhD qualification.

Dislike

Colleges offer scholarship opportunities to students because they are very, very poor. They are indeed poor, so colleges provide educational opportunities for these students.
Ya, hostel facilities are there. The hostel fee is about 60000. There will be a 5,000 caution deposit. Mess food facilities are there. But frankly, the food was not good and not hygienic. I dont know how they provide such low-quality food

I was admitted to this college through Centac so that an amount of nearly 25000 will be paid by the Government for the benefit of students who are outstanding in their studies based upon the 12th percentile. Many students from other states also joined our college which shows the excellency of our institution and the overall admission process was excellent.
