| Faculty of Arts | Bachelor of Arts in relevant subjects from a recognized university. Minimum 55% marks must be secured in the qualifying examination. |
| Faculty of Science and Technology | Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Science from a recognized university. |
| Faculty of Commerce | B.Com/B.B.M/B.B.A of this University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto. |
| Faculty of Education | B.Ed./B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed./B.Com.Ed./M.Sc.Ed. Or any other degree recognized as equivalent thereto. (B.Ed.50% marks; other courses 50% aggregate in Education Papers). |
| Faculty of Law | B.L./L.L.B.(3 years/5 years) of the University of Mysore or from any other University recognized as equivalent thereto. |

- A candidate must successfully complete the Postgraduate Program admissions process that comprises of an entrance test followed by a portfolio review & interview.
