Berhampore College was established in 1971 under the name of Raja Krishnath College of Commerce. It was renamed in 1975 to Berhampore College. It is affiliated to the University of Kalyani.

Berhampore College offers Undergraduate Courses in different streams of Arts, and Commerce. Science Subjects are also offered for Undergraduate Course.

B.A. is offered with 8 specializations, B.Com. is offered with Accountancy, and B.Sc. is offered with 5 specializations. Admission to all these programs is granted on the basis of merit.
