Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering is an undergraduate engineering degree of four year duration. 10+2 pass students with science subjects are eligible to take admission in this course. Admission in most of the colleges offering Civil Engineering is done though any of the entrance tests conducted at national and state level.

Average tuition fee for this course ranges between 2 to 4 lakhs in most of the public institutes and 3 to 6 lakhs in private colleges. However there are some government colleges which offer this course at very less tuition fee.

Civil Engineering is not that much popular course of choice due to the software and electronics boom of the past two decades, which has pushed this field into the sidelines. Candidates who have clearly passed intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10 + 2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University and securing minimum 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST Category candidates ) without grace in each compulsory subject as Physics, Maths and one optional subject as Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subject.
