For admission to the first year: Candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in the aggregate with the subject combination as follows:-

Compulsory Subjects: Physics and Mathematics

Optional Subjects (Any one of the following Subjects) – Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.
