Lady Amritbai Daga College for Women of Arts, Commerce and Science was established in 1932 with the objective of providing quality education to women in India. It is located at Nagpur in the state of Maharashtra and affliated to RTM University, Nagpur.
Lady Amritbai Daga College offers undergraduate, postgraduate and certificate courses. Undergraduate programmes are offered in arts and social sciences, commerce, science, home science and management. LAD offers undergraduate programmes exclusively for women students in Arts, Science, Home Science, Commerce and Management. Besides the general degree courses, it also offers B. Com in Computer Application, BBA and B. Sc Biotechnology courses.
Those applying for general undergraduate programmes in Arts, Science, Home Science and Commerce need to successfully clear 10+2 examinations conducted by any recognized higher secondary board in the relevant stream to be eligible for admission. Undergraduate admissions are based on merit.
Based on a candidates’ academic performance, the college releases a merit list. Selected candidates need to register themselves online and appear for counselling conducted by the college.

Candidates applying for Bachelor of Applied Electronics and Software Technology course must clear 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English as compulsory subjects. Diploma holders in Electronics, Computers or IT can gain lateral entry in the 2nd year.
Bachelor in Cosmetic Technology course requires a candidate to clear 10+2 with minimum 50% (45% for reserved category) marks in higher secondary examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology and English as compulsory subjects. For HMCT and Interior Design courses, candidates must clear 10+2 in Arts/Science/Commerce streams with at least 50% (45% for reserved category) marks in 10+2.
HMCT applicants must appear for MAH-B.HMCT-CET to be eligible for admission. Diploma holders in Interior Design and Decoration can gain lateral entry in the Interior Design course offered by the college. Candidates are admitted on the basis of academic merit.
B. HMCT must produce scores obtained in the Maharashtra CET for Hotel Management and Catering. Those applying for the Bachelors in Interior Design course have to appear for a ‘Creativity Test’ which has 40% weightage in evaluation. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for counselling. Final selection takes into account a candidate’s academic performance, entrance test score (if applicable) and seat availability.
