Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Noida provides a 2 years Master Degree course in Engineering stream, i.e, M.Tech for engineering graduates. The course is offered as a full-time regular course in a minimum of 2 specializations. M.Tech course of CDAC is AICTE approved and is offered under the affiliation of GGSIPU, Delhi. The course is provided with an aim to enrich students with advanced knowledge in one or more areas of Computer Science and Information Technology.
- The two-year M.Tech program is divided into 4 semesters.
- The basic eligibility required to apply for M.Tech is a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in relevant disciplines.
- The selection of candidates to the M.Tech course is based on the university level or national level entrance exam scores.
- The application process generally begins in the month of May-June every year. CET exam is also conducted during this period only.
- Seats are reserved as per the university or GOI norms.
CDAC Noida M.Tech Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in the M.Tech program of CDAC, Noida must satisfy the below-mentioned criteria to be eligible for the course:
- BE/ B.Tech degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics & Communication Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Candidates with MCA and M.Sc. degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Electronics are also eligible to apply for the course.
- Candidates should have obtained at least 60% marks in aggregate in their last qualifying examinations.
- Candidates should appear for and qualify in either the national level GATE entrance exam or GGSIPU CET entrance exam conducted by GGSIPU itself.
CDAC Noida M.Tech Admission Guidelines
CDAC, Noida provides admissions to M.Tech course on the basis of candidate’s performance in the qualifying examinations of their respective degree and merit in the entrance exam. Candidates who satisfy the above criteria will only be eligible for further admission rounds.
- The normal seats are provided to the candidates on the basis of their valid GATE scores.
- A written Common Entrance Test is conducted for Non-GATE candidates generally in the month of May-June.
- If seats remain vacant even after admitting the students through GATE performance, then the students to the remaining vacant seats are admitted on the basis of their CET rank. However, candidates must have secured a minimum set of eligible marks in their degree examinations.
- A total of 50 seats are available for the M.Tech program with 25 each in the respective two specializations.
- 85% of the total seats are reserved for candidates of the Delhi region only.
- Merit lists of both GATE and CET qualified candidates are published on the official website of IPU.
- Candidates whose name appears in the merit list will be required to appear for the counselling rounds on the prescribed date and venue.
- Students are also required to pay the total course fee through DD at the time of counselling.

CDAC Noida M.Tech Course Details
Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Noida provides admissions to the M.Tech program in below mentioned two specializations:

Course Structure: M.Tech course at CDAC is spread across two academic years which is further divided into 4 semesters. Each academic year comprises two semesters namely, even and odd semesters. The course work also includes project work. Guest lectures are also encouraged which are delivered by IT professionals, seniors of various industries of relevance, and other eminent persons. Seminars on various IT themes, workshops, conferences, case studies, live projects with industry, guest lectures, and professionals from the industry are a part of the course curriculum.
Assessments and Evaluation: Evaluation of each semester of the course is done on the basis of the following:

Various tests, surprise quizzes, home assignments, laboratory work, industry projects, presentations, etc also contribute to the course evaluation system.
Credits: M.Tech at CDAC is a credit-based course. Each subject of each semester carries a minimum of at least 4 credits. More details are mentioned below:
- The first semester comprises a total of 25 credits including electives, practical, and viva voce.
- The subjects of the second semester comprise a total of 60 credits and practical and viva-voce comprise 25 credits in total.
- Subjects of the third semester carry 56 credits and practical and viva-voce carry 28 credits.
- The dissertation of the fourth semester alone carries 24 credits whereas the seminar and progress report comprises 4 credits.
