SCERT provides courses like B.Ed. and D.El.Ed which are full-time programmes. Admission to B.Ed courses will be based on the marks secured in IPU-CET.
Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) qualified students can apply for admission to D.El.ED. Further, Bachelors or Masters degree holders will be eligible for applying to the B.Ed course.

SCERT B.Ed. Admission 2023
The SCERT provides a full-time, two year course in Bachelor of Education B.Ed. Admission to the course is provided on the basis of the entrance examination. For admission, the university is affiliated to the Indraprastha University (IP University).

SCERT B.Ed. Eligibility Criteria
For taking admission in B.Ed. of course, the candidates need to fulfill certain basic eligibility criteria.
- Candidates must have scored at least 45% in their Bachelor/Master’s degree in Science, Social Science and Humanities.
- Or Bachelor in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science or Math’s with an aggregate of 50%
- 5% relaxation in marks will be given to SC/ST candidates
- Minimum 5 years experience as an Assistant Teacher in a government school of NDMC/DCB/DoE
SCERT B.Ed. Selection Criteria
The candidates are allotted admission on the basis of their performance in the IPU-CET Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test.
The IPU-CET is an exam consisting of four sections namely-

SCERT D.El.Ed Eligibility Criteria
For taking admission in the Diploma in Elementary Education, the candidates need to fulfill the given eligibility criteria-
- The candidates must have qualified 10+2 examination from a recognized board
- They should have scored at least 50% aggregate in their 10+2 examination
- The aggregate will be calculated out of the best of five subjects including one language
- Candidates should not exceed the age limit of 24 years as on 30 September (Relaxation of 5 years is given to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories).
SCERT D.El.Ed Selection Criteria
- The candidates are given admission on the basis of their performance in the D.El.Ed entrance examination.
- The merit list is published online on the official website of SCERT.
How to Apply for SCERT?
The institute offers two different courses namely B.Ed and D.El.Ed. Both the courses have different entrance examinations, eligibility and selection criteria.
Hence, a different method for application is followed for both the courses.
For admission in B.Ed course, the SCERT is affiliated to the IP University. Hence students have to appear for IPU-CET examination.
Students should follow the given steps for applying in B.Ed.-
- Visit the official website of IP university (http://www.ipu.ac.in/)
- Click on the ‘admission’ and then click on ‘online admission forms’.
- Sign up by filling the candidate’s name, course applied, mobile number and email id.
- The candidates will receive the login id and password on their mobile number or registered email id.
- Then login and fill up the personal details, educational qualifications, and eligibility details.
- Upload the necessary documents including-
- Passport-size photograph (10-100 kbs)
- Signature of the candidate (10-100 kbs)
- Caste certificate (if any)
- After uploading the necessary documents, proceed to make the payment.
- A fee of INR 1000 needs to be paid per course through debit card/credit card or e-challan of Canara Bank/Syndicate/HDFC/ICICI Bank.
For admission in D.El.Ed course, the candidates need to apply on the official website of SCERT.

- Register yourself by entering the basic details like Name, phone number, e-mail id, date of birth)
- After registering, login using the login credentials.
- Fill the application form by filling in the educational and personal details and select the course.
- Upload the necessary documents like-

- Migration Certificate
- Save the information and pay the fees online. Candidates need to pay INR 250 per course as the application fee through net banking/ debit card or credit card.
