College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology Admission

For UG admission OUAT and ICAR conduct admission tests. For PG and Ph.D., admission OUAT conducts the admission test. Registration for the OUAT and ICAR examination is online. 25% seats (8 seats) in UG filled up by ICAR. Admission is conducted through spot counseling.

How to Apply?

  • Register on the official website of the college.
  • To appear for the Entrance Examination pay an application fee of INR 1000 using the State Bank Collect facility available on the State Bank of India’s web page
  • After successful payment takes a print of the e-Receipt and enclose the same with the application as proof of payment as it contains a Reference Number starting with “DU” which the candidate may quote for all future correspondences in this regard with the University.
  • Submit the duly filled application form along with the self-attested copies of the required documents to “The Director, College of Basic Science & Humanities, OUAT, Bhubaneswar- 751003” through Regd.

College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology Placement

The CAET has a well-functioning placement cell. The placement cell ensures pre-placement training of each student in tandem maintaining a strategic relationship with the recruiters. The placement cell published a brochure for placement, presenting the holistic data of every academic year.

The CAET has an Information and Placement Bureau (IPB), working since 2001.   • Central Computer Center: The Centralized Computing Centre (CCC) was established in the year 2004, to provide the computational facility for the academic and research community. It is featured with HP Itanium Server, HP Blade servers, and HP ML350G servers with SAN and NAS storage and 150 HP Desktops. 'Single Sign-on' mechanism is implemented using these centralized servers and a fully Open Source system. Users with user-Id are authenticated using all machines inside the campus irrespective of the OS.
  • Clinic/ Health Center: Within campus in-house clinic for immediate health care with 24x7 Ambulance service.
  • Guest House: Guest House has 2 floors with 27 rooms which are air-conditioned.
  • Food Court: For food, snacks, and refreshment a food court is present within the CAET campus.
  • Bus Transport: A bus service has been started from the university campus, joining major places in the Bhubaneswar Odisha Transport department, buses operate throughout day up-to night 9:00 p.m.
  • Bank: State Bank of India Branch is housed on OUAT Campus, provides all banking facilities. Students pay fees and other payments through this -campus branch only.
  • Post Office: There is a Post office at OUAT Campus, which is the center of all postal activity in the locality. This post-office provides

    • Registered/ speed post/ parcel and
    • Selling stamps and envelopes
  • Stationery Stores and Market Complex: Within the campus of CAET has a Stationary store and market complex to fulfill the daily demand of grocery and regular items of students and staff members who stay within the campus.
  • NSS: The CEAT has a strong NSS unit, which conducts various social and student awareness activities throughout the year for the students, by the students. Here are a few of them.

Ques. What are the other research programs offered at the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology?

Ans. The CEAT conducts various research projects, this practice provides students with a wider scope for learning and development of technical skills. The College has research collaborations with Govt. Departments and Corporations, ICAR institutes, MNRES, DST, Govt. Of India, ISRO, BPCL, local farm industries, etc. Also, the college conducts four All India Coordinated Research Projects (AICRPs). The college also operates many externally funded projects from different Govt. The organization, which further contributes to education, research, and infrastructure development. The College owns the Farm Implements Design Unit, Farm Machinery Testing Centre, and a Central Instrumentation facility.

Ques. Can any science graduate student apply for an M.Tech program at the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology?

Ans. Yes, only a student with B.E/ B.Tech in agriculture is eligible to apply for the M.Tech program at CAET.

Ques. What are the admission fees required for B.Tech admission to the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology?

Ans. Yes, during the spot counseling students have to pay the admission fee amount. The admission fee for B.Tech agriculture is INR 1,11,355.

Ques. Does the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology have any integrated post-graduation program?

Ans. No, CAET has no integrated course. In CAET 3 courses are there, B.Tech in agriculture engineering and M.Tech and Ph.D. in various domains of agriculture.

Ques. Does the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology conduct any international collaboration program?

Ans. No, CEAT has no international collaboration program, but CEAT has research collaborations/ linkages with Govt. departments and Corporations, ICAR institutes, MNRES, DST, Govt. of India, ISRO, BPCL, and local farm machinery industries.

Ques. Is NET JRF mandatory to apply for a Ph.D. program at the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology?

Ans. NET qualification is an add on value for a candidate but not mandatory. Students have to pass the admission test conducted by OUAT to get admission in the Ph.D. course in CAET. Only two seats for Ph.D. are available in each department, one is for regular students and the other one is for an in-service person.
