Somaiya College has faced criticism regarding its campus placements, which do not meet expectations considering the high fees and the college's reputed status. While students anticipate average placements of 6 to 7 lakh rupees, actual offers are reportedly lower. The professionalism of the placement process and the caliber of recruiting companies have been questioned. Internship opportunities are limited, often involving lesser-known companies and low-profile roles. The college charges high fees, increasing each year: ₹120,000 for the first year, ₹130,000 for the second, and ₹140,000 for the third. Scholarships are available, but mainly for students in significant financial need. Although the campus is well-regarded, facilities like air conditioning were only upgraded by the third year, and faculty quality is seen as lacking given the cost.
