TIMSCDR Mumbai MCA Eligibility
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent.
- For candidates belonging to the reserved categories must secure a minimum of 45% marks in UG degree.
- Candidates must have studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination at the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Competent Authority, Govt. of Maharashtra.
For CAP Quota Candidates: Candidates seeking admission under this quota should have passed graduation with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Person with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only). These candidates are required to have studied mathematics or statistics at 10+2 or higher level.
Eligibility Criteria for Hindi Speaking Minority Quota & Institute Level Quota Candidates: Admissions to MCA program offered by the institute under Hindi Speaking Minority Quota and Institute level Quota is granted on the basis of a pass with a minimum of 50% marks in *aggregate or equivalent CGPA in any Bachelor’s degree.
- Candidate should be an Indian National & belong to Hindi Linguistic Community (only for Linguistic Minority candidates).
- The candidate should have a domicile of the State of Maharashtra (only for Linguistic Minority candidates)
TIMSCDR Mumbai MCA Selection Criteria
Admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program will be conducted as per the guidelines described by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State. Candidates must qualify the MAH-MCA-CET.
The test will evaluate the candidates’ mathematical skills, logical thinking, knowledge of computer and English language. The exam consists of 100 multiple choice questions spread across 4 sections. The question paper is to be attempted within 90 minutes.
The following documents must be submitted at the time of admission:
- MAH-MCA-CET scorecard
- Statement of marks & certificate of SSC, HSC, and Graduation (all semester/year).
- Migration and Provisional Passing Certificate for those candidates who passed from any University other than the University of Mumbai.
- Certificate of Indian Nationality (Valid Indian Passport/ Birth Certificate of the candidate indicating the place of birth in India.)
- Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
- Caste/Tribe Validity Certificate (if applicable)
- Non-Creamy Layer Certificate valid up to 31st March 2019 (if applicable).
- Certificates in Proforma A, B1, B2, F, F1, G1, G2, H, J, K, L & O as applicable (Mentioned in DTE brochure).
