About REC
Rajkiya Engineering College was established in the year 2015 in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh. REC Sonbhadra offers a B.Tech program in 3 Engineering disciplines, namely, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics Engineering. The Training and Placement Cell of REC, Sonbhadra actively works for a successful summer internship and final placement of all the students of different streams in various esteemed organizations like Hindalco (Aditya Birla Group), Reliance Industries Ltd., Adani Group of Industries, L&T Ltd., Essar Power, Kanoria Chemicals Ltd., Hi-Tech Carbon Plant, Lanco Thermal Power Plant, JP Thermal Power Plant, JP Industries Complex and more.
The cell organizes skill enhancement workshops, seminars, and guest lectures for the students. The cell is well equipped with ample infrastructure in terms of a seminar hall for workshops and presentations.
Rajkiya Engineering College Sonbhadra Scholarships
The college does not offer any scholarship; however, financial assistance is provided to meritorious students of SC/ST & OBC categories under the regulations of the UP State Scholarship scheme. Every year, UP State releases a notification for fee reimbursement for the students of AKTU & its affiliated colleges. Students studying in the REC can register themselves for the fee waiver through the Scholarship & Fee Reimbursement online system of UP State.
New students can register online for the UPTU Scholarship by visiting the official portal designed for the fee reimbursement procedure. Existing students can also check their status by following the below-mentioned steps:

The campus is spread over 30 acres of land which consists of six buildings and an open auditorium. The campus is clean, calm, and quiet. The campus is well equipped with laboratories, a library, a workshop, a cafeteria, a mess, a stationery shop, hostels, and other facilities for recreation.
