Eligibility Criteria

The Candidate should be an Indian National
Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with physics and mathematics as a compulsory subject along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational Subject and obtained at least 50% marks(45% marks in case of backward category and Person with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra only) in the above subjects taken together and Obtained score in CET conducted by Competent Authority.

The degree is awarded by Savitribai Phule Pune University and total annual intake is 840. Direct admission to the 2nd year of the B.E. the program is also allowed for adequately eligible candidates.

B.E. Eligibility

Completed HSC under the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or equivalent awarding body.
A minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for reserved category candidates of Maharashtra only) in HSC with English, Physics, and Math as compulsory and either one of Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject as optional subjects.
Applicants should have qualified either MHT-CET or JEE Main.

Candidates who hold a MSBTE Diploma or equivalent, in relevant discipline, with minimum 50% score are eligible for Direct Entry into the second year of B.E.

B.E. Selection Criteria

Selection for admission into B.E. is done by competent state authority on the basis of merit in qualifying exam and entrance test score.
Candidates have to select the college at the time of counseling.
Based on the rank obtained and college selected, seat allotment will be done
Selected candidates will be informed through a call.
All the selected candidates need to report at the college for further admission process along with valid documents.

I chose this course as I found this field in my interest and it is quite an emerging field. Faculty to student ratio is not very good. Teaching methods and quality of some professors are brilliant, but some professors are not really very good at it. Exams were conducted twice a semester, internals and externals. It wasn't much difficult to clear the exams.

The exams were conducted in intervals and it was too strict this thing I liked about our college. The exams were conducted in a well-organized manner. The faculty members are also good in nature and teaching but some teachers are not that much well.
