PPG College of Education Campus Facilities

The eco-friendly, wifi-enabled, and vibrant campus of PPG College of Education is situated on a huge area of land and has a very positive and growth-oriented ambiance. In addition to this, a diverse community of students and teachers further allows everyone to learn a lot from each other's experiences, and skills. Following are some of the key amenities the institute has for its students.

B.Ed. – Classrooms: To efficiently conduct B.Ed. classes and deliver knowledge that is easily understandable, a total of 12 large, well-ventilated, and wonderful classes have been developed by the college on its campus. Each lecture hall has facilities and required areas according to NCTE norms.

M.Ed. – Classrooms: Classrooms developed for the M.Ed. course of PPG College have an area of about 30'*20'sq.ft. All the classes are ventilated and well-resourced with chalk, board and adequate furniture as per norms.

Auditorium: The PPG college has also established an advanced, and spacious Auditorium. Key events including guest lectures, seminars, presentations, and other academic activities are organized here in collaboration with experts. Every facility ranging from the latest audiovisual devices, LCD projectors, ceiling lights, podiums, speakers, chairs for comfortable seating, and public address systems are available here.

Multipurpose Hall: The Institution has built a multipurpose hall, and it is usually used to host a variety of academic and co-curricular events. This hall has a seating capacity of more than 200 students.

Library: An aesthetically developed and computerized Library also exists on the college campus. The main aim behind providing this facility to students and teachers is to inculcate reading habits in students and enhance their subject knowledge through a plethora of resources. This Library has a seating capacity of 70 students and it is home to 6707 books, 2 newspapers, 8 magazines, 13 journals, 20 dictionaries, 302 reference books, and 45 encyclopedias. There is a separate reference room hosting the latest books for TNPSC, TRB, and UGC NET. 

Laboratories: The following laboratories have been developed by the college for specific purposes:

• Language Laboratory: This lab has been established to enhance the spoken English and writing skills of students, and it is well-resourced with cutting-edge technologies. A structured syllabus has been developed to deliver 90 hours of training at 3 levels. 

• Science Laboratory: This well-furnished facility has been developed to educate students about science through experiments.

• Computer Laboratory: A full-fledged Computer Center is also there on the PPG campus, and it has been built to write blogs using internet/ICT tools, helping students learn programming, and improve their basic computer skills. Both students and teachers also use this space for technological research.

• Psychology Laboratory: The purpose of this lab is to educate students about various kinds of psychological tests and experiments. It is equipped with several psychological tools, charts, equipment, and batteries, and allows young minds to actively learn how to comprehend the mental processes and behavior of people and themselves.

• Educational Laboratory: This space is solely reserved for students to understand in a better way from the computer-aided learning process. It has facilities such as an interactive whiteboard, LCD and OHP projectors, slide projectors, T.V. Unit, Smart Board, Digital Podium, Computer, Laptop and Scanner, CD/DVD Player, Educational CDs, followed by Photo and Video Cameras.
