  • Defense and Paramilitary Quota: Under this category, scholarship is offered to children of Serving personnel, ex-servicemen, retired personnel, and deceased personnel or their dependents from the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, Coast Guard, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Railway Protection Force (RPF), National Security Guards (NSG), Special Frontier Force (SFF), Assam Riffles, Border Road Organization / General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF), Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Military Engineers Service (MES) and Defense Security Corps (DSC).
  • Sports International Level: This scholarship is for students who have represented India in any International Sports Competitions approved by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports/ SAI/ IOA/ FISU/ National Federation of Concerned Games approved by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports/ Association of Indian Universities/ School Games Federation of India. To claim the benefits, students must present a certificate from the concerned authorities of the sport. 
  • Sports National Level: As the name itself is self-explanatory, this scholarship is offered to students who have represented the state in any competition conducted between the last 2 consecutive years at the national level in Individual/ Teams approved by the Ministry of Sports/ Sports Federation/ AIU.
