B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering (B.Tech AE) is an undergraduate course in agricultural studies and processes. The minimum eligibility for this course requires passing class 12th/ Higher Secondary Examination in Biology, Maths and Chemistry.

B. Tech AE is a four year program and has similar course like B.E. in Agricultural Engineering. The mode of admission is through State/ National/ University Joint Entrance Examination or Pre Engineering Test.

B. Academic Options after B.Tech

After this undergraduate course, students can apply for M.Tech Agricultural Engineering and also Ph.D in Agricultural Engineer.

Students can also opt for specialization within the fields of Agriculture in Agricultural Engineering when applying for M.Tech or Ph.D course.

Admission to M.Tech is also through an Entrance Examination. Some colleges/ institutes like Indira Gandhi Agricultural University and Indian Agricultural Research Institute also take an Entrance Examination for Ph.D program.

Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year full-time B.Tech Program should have passed 10+2 in Science stream or its equivalent qualification, with at least 50% marks in aggregate with Mathematics, Physics as a compulsory subject and Chemistry/ Bio-technology/ Computer Science/ Biology as one of the optional subjects from a recognised Board.
