Chaudhary Mahadeo Prasad College, Allahabad popularly known as CMP College was established in 1950. It is affiliated to Allahabad University and accredited with Grade ‘B’ by NAAC. It was made a constituent College in the year 2005 when the Central status of the University was restored. The college vision is to prepare socially committed and economically self reliant students. The main campus of Chaudhary Mahadeo Prasad is located in George Town on M.G. Road. The Law faculty and the Girls Wing of the College are located on Kamala Nehru Road behind the Power House, Allahabad.

Extra Curricular Activities

• NSS - There are 16 units of NSS functioning in the college including 3 units for Girls which helps in organizing various social activities and community development programmes throughout the year.

• Dr. S. K. Jha was awarded ‘Best Citizen of India Award’ by International Publishing House, New Delhi for his outstanding contributions in society in the field of Academics .

• Dr. Archana Pandey received ‘Academic Excellence Award’ by United Group of Institutions on the occasion of EDUSHINE on 23rd May 2012. She also received Mahila Gaurav Samman on 8th march 2013 by Bioved Research Institute-Allahabad.

• Dr. Neerja Kapoor, was awarded Fellow Membership of International Science Congress Association (F.I.S.C.A.)

• Dr. Uma Rani Agrawal is also awarded Fellow Membership of International Science Congress Association (F.I.S.C.A.)
