BSc Agriculture Admission 2023 is done on the basis of merit or an entrance exam. Candidates can appear for any university or state-level entrance exam to seek admission to the BSc Agriculture Course. ICAR AIEEA 2023 is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the NTA on behalf of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research to offer BSc Agriculture Admission to top colleges. However, ICAR AIEEA 2023 has been discontinued and replaced by CUET 2023 for BSc Agriculture Admission 2023.

Several states conduct their own, state-level entrance exam and counseling sessions to offer BSc Agriculture State Admission. KEAM 2023 will be conducted to offer Kerala BSc Agriculture Admissions. The Tripura Joint Entrance exam(TJEE) is done for candidates seeking Tripura BSc Agriculture Admission. Maharashtra BSc Agriculture Counseling Process is based on MHT CET and UP BSc Agriculture admission is based on the UPCATET exam and counseling.

CUET 2023 registrations started on February 09 and were ongoing till March 30, 2023. The exam will be conducted between May 21 – 31, 2023. NTA has replaced ICAR AIEEA UG exam from the present academic session.

BSc Agriculture is a 4-year long course that can be taken up after the completion of 10+2 from a recognized board with a science background in the +2 program. This agriculture course teaches a student about agriculture and animal husbandry poultry management and the techniques and science behind it. BSc Agriculture has a high rate of employability in government sectors as well. BSc Agriculture Admission Process 2023

B.Sc Agriculture admissions are done on both merit basis and entrance exams, it usually depends on the institute offering the course as to which method they want to follow.

For direct merit basis admissions, one has to apply for the college they wish to join and attend personal interviews. If you are short-listed, you will get the admission done.

For admission based on entrance exams, students need to take up entrance exams and according to their scores in the exam, they will be called for counseling and given a seat in a college for this course.

For Merit-Based Admissions 

  • Visit the college website or the campus depending on the institute’s procedures
  • Then apply for the course in the institute by submitting various documents like marks cards, study certificates, etc.
  • Based on merit students will get short-listed and enrolled.

For Entrance Exam-Based Admissions 

  • Apply for the exam by filling out the application before the last date of registration. Then download the admit card once available.
  • Appear for the examination at the allotted center on the day of the exam and then await the results.
  • After the results are out, attend counseling, and based on a list made by the examination authority, you will be given a seat in a college.

BSc Agriculture Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for B.Sc Agriculture is as follows:

  • The candidate should have completed their 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • The lower age limit is 18 years, there is no upper age limit.
  • For institutes considering entrance exams, candidates should also have qualified in the exam.

BSc Agriculture Admission 2023: How To Apply?

  • First of all check for your eligibility and then apply for the exams you wish to take up by visiting the official website or the college campus itself.
  • After this, students shall take up the exam and wait for the results to be announced.
  • After the results are announced, students should attend the counseling held by the conducting body and shall give a list of colleges they wish to join.
  • Lastly, if you are short-listed and get selected, you will be allotted a seat. Classes shall commence after all the processes are done and will continue for the next 4 years.

Agriculture at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) comprises of the following: 25 Ques from Mental Ability + 25 Ques from Chemistry (compulsory for all the streams). 50 Ques including Zoology and Botany (for biology students). 25 Ques from Physics and  25 Ques from Maths (for Mathematics students). 50 Ques from Agriculture (for agriculture students). Preparation Tips: Mental Ability section is mainly based on previous years papers. Most of the questions are repeated. For Chemistry, it includes areas of Organic, Inorganic and Physical. For Organic, you must have knowledge of the mechanism of basic reactions of addition, substitution, elimination with popular named reactions like Cannizaro, Williamson, Wurtz, OMDM, HBO etc. Inorganic has basic trends of periodic table, Solubility, thermal decomposition. Chemical bonding and coordination. For Physical, revise all the basic questions of equilibrium, electrochemistry, Solubility, Surface Chemistry, Chemical kinetics, Thermodynamics and Mole Concept.
