BSc Forensic Sciences involves the application of scientific knowledge in the investigation of crimes. The knowledge of science is applied to analyze the evidence found at a crime scene. An analysis could involve anything from an object at the crime scene, to soil, blood stains, saliva, body fluids, bones, fingerprints, DNA profiling, recovering data from computers, researching new techniques/ technology, etc.

The admission for BSc Forensic Science takes place mainly through Entrance Exams like JET, LPUNEST, or SUAT. Scoring good marks in these Entrance Exams is important in securing a good college for BSc Forensic Science. Students must have Science subjects like Physics, Chemistry, or Biology in class 12 in order to study BSc Forensic Science.

Some colleges like Vivekananda University take in students directly on the basis of marks in the Class 12 Boards exam. Entrance Exams are not required for these colleges.

Admission to most of the Forensic Science colleges will be on a merit-based selection system. Through the merit-based system, a candidate can get direct admission to the program depending on their 10+2 percentage and the cut-off prescribed by the institution.

BSc Forensic Science : Merit Based Admission

Colleges like Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Swami Vivekananda University, etc take admissions based on merit. The candidates will have to go through the following step for applying to such institutes:

Ans. For 2022 batch B.Sc Forensic Science fee is INR 80,000 per year , at Kistu Jayanti College is as follows.  The other fees for the first year are as follows. If you are from a different board than Karnataka PU Board in Karnataka State, eligibility fee will be INR 3,000. There are no additional fees.
