Both the three schools are premium colleges for pursuing an MBA. However, Doon Business School is the best choice depending on the level of specialization of the school. Christ Bangalore is also excellent when it comes to its MBA program which was started way back. Christ provides multiple specializations to MBA students. You can expect to get a 360-degree education if you join Christ as an MBA student. You will get the opportunity to participate in the multiple networking events that are hosted by the university. Many workshops, seminars and discussions are conducted by the university. Also, you will have the opportunity to take part in internships. The placement record of MBA is also great at Christ University. You can expect to get packages above 7 lakhs. The top recruiters include Deloitte, KPMG, HSBC, Amazon, Cognizant, Accenture, etc.
Christ University doesn’t have a good faculty base for an MBA. The MBA coursework is constructed poorly. Throughout the course, students are under pressure to complete their CIA, assignments, etc. The scope for hands-on learning is limited.
It has a huge student intake. There are around 400 students in each batch. Christ University MBA placements are average at best. The 2022 placement concluded with the highest CTC of INR 20 LPA.
According to me, Christ University is the best option. Being a student of this university, I would like to say that Christ has fulfilled all the expectations that I had. At Christ, you will get an overview of the various aspects of business management. This two-year degree will help you to be knowledgeable about accountancy, finance and commerce. You will learn how business operates in the real world. Our university has some of the best faculty who continuously guide you throughout the course. Also, be prepared to solve lots of case studies. Study hard and try to gain practical knowledge as you will be tested rigorously during the midterms. The campus life is awesome at Christ. There is always some fest going on the campus and you can join any of the multiple clubs that are present or create a club of your own.
I am a BSc. student at Christ University. My experience of pursuing this course at Christ has been a mixed bag.
The faculty for BSc. at Christ is average at best, and the facilities offered to students are not up to the mark. One can approach the respective subject teacher if one wishes to study and research in that particular field.
Some events organized by the university which are related to this field, are quite good in all honesty. Another thing is that Christ University imposes a lot of rules and regulations on students, which can be very burdensome at times.
Overall, Christ University offers a decent BSc. program, and you can opt for the same if you do not come across better options.
In terms of syllabus and curriculum, the BBA (Hons) offered by Christ University is better. Most MNCs prefer BBA (Hons) to BBA. This course is ideal for students who want to go abroad after graduation. The BBA (Hons) degree has many options for credit transfer as well.
Other than these there is no such big difference between the two degrees. Both will offer you good exposure and opportunities.
Firstly, IIM Indore does not offer a BBA degree. Christ University has an excellent curriculum of BBA. In IIM Indore, you can opt for Integrated Programme in Management which is a five year degree with the last two years of PGDM. However, if you want to study BBA, then Christ University is your best option. The faculty, curriculum, and campus life are one of the finest. I have friends who have pursued a BBA from Christ and they tell me that the campus life at Christ is the best in India. They host multiple events throughout the years which gives you a lot of exposure. Also, the placements are top-notch. The top recruiters such as Amazon, Accenture, Cognizant, KPMG, etc visit the college to recruit the students.
Christ University is a good option for pursuing Law degrees. It has a dedicated law faculty. The student crowd is great. You will get to meet many talented students.
Every Friday, there are extra-curricular activities like group discussion, debate, and extempore. Intra moot courts are organized frequently. Christ also organizes National Moot Court every year. Almost all the top Law schools participate in it.
Various law firms, corporate houses, NGOs, LPOs recruit from the university. Justice & Care Bangalore, Adlaw Partners, GMR Infrastructure Ltd. are some of the major recruiters from Christ University Law placements over the last few years.
Background does not matter much. It is a subjective question as it depends on many factors and the factors may or may not align with one’s goals and preferences. For MCA Christ has an edge over NMIMS. If you are okay with some strict rules and dress codes then for sure Christ is a better choice.
It’s your attitude towards learning that matters more than the college itself. Yet if I have to comment on the two colleges, I would say Christ University is a fairly good choice. The main reasons are
However, if you are joining the college with the mindset of being taught then you need to rectify it. Here it’s you who has to force yourself to learn no one is going to push you. Anyone who wants to learn about business, in reality, will not be able to gain much from this B School. The B School churns out managers only. Rarely does it give birth to a business owner or entrepreneur despite the university’s module for entrepreneurship in a semester.
I have a friend who studies BBA at CMS, Jain University. On the other hand, I am pursuing my BBA at Christ University.
The academics and faculty for BBA at both the universities is equally good. But in terms of reputation, Christ definitely has an upper hand. Having said that, I would in fact encourage you to pursue a BCom instead of a BBA if you are unsure of your future goals.
This is because both have more or less the same curriculum, but BCom is more recognized than BBA in India as of now. Moreover, a BCom degree is more affordable too. A BBA will be a good choice only if you are very smart, or else, you’ve already made up your mind on your future goals.
As far as a BBA degree is concerned, if you have decided to go with this course, I would recommend Christ University over Jain University because it holds a bigger brand value and reputation for management courses.
