Campus life is interesting if a student likes to enjoy and not only study. And the huge library facilities are provided with a lot of books which I think cannot be felt less. Sports ground is also present for exercise ncc training and many more activities. Societies are there as per the interest of students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Fees are 23000rs per annum And no scholarship is provided and no financial assistance. And I don't know much about the jobs regarding college or how is the campus recruitment. The fees have to be paid yearly once in starting of the year that continues to sem 1 and 2.

Placement Experience:

As I have heard from my seniors and also researched by myself through various websites and the college website, our college provides placements but they are pretty average. Right now the placement cell is providing internship opportunities to the students through WhatsApp and they are above average as they are paying around 10,000 and above the best part is that all the students from any program or course are eligible for them. A good chunk of students get placed through our college and I am also planning to get placed through my college if I get a good opportunity.

Campus Life:

Priyadarshini is the annual fest held by the Dyal Singh College every year between June and August. The library is spacious and has many books almost every textbook and a lot of other books too. The classrooms are poorly maintained while some of the classes are exceptionally good. The sports ground is really big and some of the extracurricular activities on campus are also held there. The college has many societies or clubs like enso which is the entrepreneurship development society and the marks which is also a marketing society.

University Campus may be a vibrant and diverse place, and each institution will provide a different type of experience. "Antardhvani" an annual cultural festival, is held at Delhi University. The event-specific month can be changed, but it's often held around the first few months of the year. With a substantial selection of books, journals and research materials, DU libraries are well stocked. Best amenities including seatings, whiteboards and blackboards, and video equipment are typically provided in DU classrooms. DU provides a variety of sports facilities, including indoor sports facilities, Basketball courts, Football fields, and Cricket fields. Website clubs and social groups wide range of hobbies, including Drama Dance Photography, and social causes are served by the numerous student-run societies, clubs and social groups at Delhi University

Course Curriculum Overview:

I can give an overall outline of my B.Sc. Science courses educational plan at DU. If it is not too much trouble, note that course educational plans can change after some time, so I suggest visiting the authority Delhi University sites. I chose this course because my favourite subject is mathematics, I want may career in mathematics Faculty and student ratio is 20:1 In mathematics some professors, and some associate professors. Exams depend on the DU academic calendar, all the exams are completed in a timely The difficulty of passing the exam in a B.sc Mathematics program can vary based on serval factors.

We did have one annual event that was named "Tide", where some personalities from the world of music, fashion and dance were invited. All the college students were very excited and working to participate in the fest which was open to all Delhi university students. Quite an abundance of books on different topics and journals are available with the daily availability of 4 to 5 newspapers. the classrooms are well maintained and there is availability of fans and proper ventilation. most of the sports equipment is available in the sports room and students are quite lively and play many kinds of games like badminton, football, chess, handball and cricket. The Indian classical dance society Kalashree is a very prominent one where all the dance enthusiasts are active, and there is one finance and investment cell, which is considered very active and brings together like-minded individuals of different domains interested in finance. There are numerous social help groups as well.

Internships Opportunities:

Many of the internship opportunities are available for the students of commerce and economics. The science students have fewer facilities when it comes to internships and placements. the common rules that the companies come with are audit assistant, investment banking, digital marketing and tax officer. There are many companies coming for social media marketing & business associates as well. Deloitte, EY, KPMG, WTW, Yamaha, HCL, Decathlon etc.

ARSD has its annual fest named Tide held every year. We have a well-maintained library. We can find books as per our interest. Classrooms are well equipped with fans, lights, benches, blackboard projects, etc. Also, the college has all kinds of sports facilities Although I feel the college should hire some sports coaches for the betterment of the students. We have many societies in our college all are doing great in their respective field. Enactus ARSD is one of the websites I know run by the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took admission in Maths honors because of my interest in the subject from my school days. The curriculum designed for the subject is really nice and the reference books help to excel in the field. The faculty for the same is really good. They all are punctual regarding the course. we have regular lab classes also to the theory in practical life. Test and mid-term exams are held on a regular basis.

This year in 2023, TIDE - annual fest was conducted in march. College library is very good, a large range availability of books is there. Furniture and fans are there in classes, but students expect AC and is needed in months like may, june & july in delhi. Sports facility are okay but not so good. Societies of every field is there in college and they are working properly throughout the year. Infrastructure of our college is one of the best in Delhi University's colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose Mathematics (Honours) because of my interest in mathematics. Faculty:Student ratio is not so much but it is good. All the faculties are well qualified, maximum of them have completed their PhD or currently doing their PhD. Term exams are always on time and you have to study for passing them, seriously no scope of cheating and if you get find doing so, then you can be in a big trouble.

In the current year, our annual fest TIDE was held in March, it was decent and various artists were there though not much famous we enjoyed it a lot, it was a great experience. College library is much lousy most of the time they remain on strike and the availability of books for exchange is a problem. C; ass room infrastructure is excellent, furniture, blackboard etc. are well furnished. Projectors are there but not fully functional. sports activities are there but if talk about tournaments or official matches then they are occasional. There are many societies like rangayan (drama club), nimbus (debate club), paritantrika ( environment club).

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opted for this course because mathematics is multidisciplinary, and it provides a lot of scope and flexibility in career prospects. the faculty-student ratio is also decent (1:21). Faculty teachers are top-notch notch they have a lot of experience some of them are DU postgraduates, and some of them are from iits and have published many research papers. The teaching method depends on the teacher, so in my opinion, they are decent in the end we have to study on our own. Term exams were delayed as a result of late entrance exams and passing them was not difficult one can easily score better by solving some PYQs.

I chose this course in childhood because math is my favourite subject and in future, I will become a mathematician. There is a girl's hostel in college in which free wifi, a computer lab, a smart class, and a projector are used for study. For teaching green board is used in all classes. The semester exams are held every six months of the year and it is easy to pass. Only score 40/100.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The whole year fee is paid in the admission process and in the second year all fees are paid in re-admission and so on. For a year graduation course maximum of 35000 is required which is very affordable. The college does not provide scholarships but helps in other government-issued scholarships to get the benefits of it.

Ques. How do I prepare for BHU UET Bsc Maths (hons)?

● Top Answer By Shirsti Varma on 11 Nov 21

Ans. To score well in BHU UET, you need to have your basics clear. Go through all the chapters in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics from NCERT books and your textbooks at least once.  Go through the previous year’s questions from the BHU website. You will get to know the question trends and also get an idea of the chapters to focus on. They often repeat questions. The questions are not that hard. You can easily attempt 10% of the questions. 60% of the questions require fundamental knowledge of the subjects. Only around 30% of the questions will be difficult to solve. But you don’t need to worry about the 30% difficult question. You can easily score enough marks from the rest of the paper. Time management is crucial during the examination. The allotted time is 150 min. Which can seem short, if you don’t plan accordingly. First, you should attempt Chemistry questions. These are easy to solve and require less time. Then you can move on to Physics and Mathematics. Don’t stress too much on the questions that you don’t know the answer to. Try to score at least 120 out of 150 in the Chemistry section.  Your focus on class 11 and 12th syllabus should be 40/60.  The required cutoff for the general candidates is around 190-200. So, try to score 240 to get your preferred combination. Read more

Ques. Which course should I choose if I get a chance to study at ISI Kolkata, a B.Math or a B.Stat?

● Top Answer By Aniket Sinha on 07 Oct 21

Ans. Both B.Stat and B.Math are different courses being offered at different campuses at ISI Kolkata and ISI Bangalore respectively. There are only a few common subjects in both courses.  The choice ultimately depends on your choice and interest. You can go through the syllabus of both courses and understand the topics. Find whichever interests you, you can choose to be research-oriented like B.math students or go for M.stat or other courses, if you choose so. You can apply for only 1 course because the institute conducts the entrance of both courses at the same time and day. You will be able to appear for only one of them.Read more

She lived her college life to her fullest extent. From hostels to backlogs, she experienced all the fun. Despite creating hundreds of memories, today her batchmates are in IITs, 10% in IISc Banglore, 15% in IISERs, and 10% in IIMs. The others are booming in their own fields.Read more

Ques. How can I do BSc Mathematics major through IGNOU?

● Top Answer By Santosh Singh on 19 Oct 22

Ans. If you are willing to get admission at IGNOU for B.Sc. Mathematics you can follow the following steps: choose minimum 40 credits worth of Mathematics electives you have to choose/opt your Mathematics electives according to year wise scheme i.e some electives in first year, some in second year and rest are in third year. Remember you cannot opt a 3rd year elective course in first year or second year. You can opt a first year course in second year or third year. Similarly a second year course in the third year. This is why there are less than 24 credit options of Mathematics electives. Online registration system eliminates the already selected electives automatically. This is the reason you don’t get MTE1 or MTE6 etc. options in your second year reregistration options list. MTE 06 is the toughest paper so try opting other electives.Read more

Ques. Should I take up math and computing at IIT Delhi, or B.Math at ISI Bengaluru?

● Top Answer By Aditi Banerjee on 05 Apr 23

Ans. Whether you should opt for MnC at IIT Delhi or B.Math at ISI Bangalore depends on what you want from your graduation and your career prospects. Academically both institutes are excellent and none is better than the other. So my answer entails the drastic difference in the curriculum and scope of the two programs. Bachelor of Mathematics, ISI Bengaluru This program has high-tech mathematical stuff and purely focuses on Mathematics. The Institute is smaller than IIT Delhi and ideal for those who have a single passion in life, Maths. The coursework consists of abstract algebra, analysis, probability theory, and so on. Additionally, it has compulsory courses in Statistics, Probability, and Physics as well. Although it offers some CS courses also, the program does not focus on Computer Science much. Math and Computing (MnC), IIT Delhi The curriculum of the MnC program is more inclined toward computer science than Mathematics. The program focuses more on applied mathematics, rather than pure mathematics. As a result, graduates from this course can start jobs earlier than those from ISI. In a nutshell, if you are willing to go for higher education and research in mathematics, then ISI should be your goal. If you are a person interested in the practical application of concepts and want to eventually be employed in a company, then IIT Delhi is the best place for you.Read more
