Elementary Education Training: What is it about?

There are some colleges which provide admission in the ETT course on the basis of an entrance examination. There are a few others that offer admission based on the marks secured in 10+2 and performance in the personal interview. ETT Admission Process

An admission in ETT is given on the basis of the entrance examinations in some of the institutes. However, there are other institutes which don’t host an entrance examination for securing admission to the course. In this case, the candidate has to secure minimum qualifying marks in 10+2. The admission formalities followed by colleges undertaking students on the basis of entrance examinations are as follows:-

Registration:- The admission applications are declared open days in advance by the institutes. The admission portals of the institutes ask for account creation with all the basic details of the candidate filled in.
Application forms: The application forms for admission must be duly filled in by the candidates ensuring input of accurate necessary details.
Documents: The important documents are then asked to be uploaded and attached with the form. The required documents are listed by the institute on their portal itself, which are to be scanned and uploaded carefully.
Application fee: A nominal amount of the application fee is requested to be paid along with the admission form, in order to make your application count. The payments are accepted online in most colleges.
Written Test: The entrance/written examination is held by the respective institute. The candidates need to prepare well for the examination based on the syllabus. The candidates are supposed to undergo an Essay Test in English.

ETT Eligibility Criteria

The applicants must have completed their Intermediate or 10+2 in any stream. The minimum qualifying marks in 10+2 ought to be an aggregate of 50% from any recognized board of the country in any stream.

ETT Entrance Exams

D.El.Ed. Entrance Exam: D.El.Ed. is Diploma in Elementary Education Entrance Examination. Campus Life

There are various sports facilities on campus like basketball court, tennis court and sports room with indoor games like carrom, table tennis and hoops. It also has various equipments for playing sports like tennis, badminton, basketball, football, hoops, dumbbells, chess board, Ludo. Yes the equipments are provided by colleges and you can also bring your own equipments like badmintons. No the college doesnt have gym and swiming pool. Auditorium is very big to cater 100-150 student with a smart class projector. It also has a big multipurpose hall where various programs and functions were held regularly. Also CC Activities were also conducted in multipurpose hall. The library is also good will all the facilities. We are provided with 2 card, so we can issue 2 books at a time for 7 days and return it to get your cards back. It has various books like of academics, novels, fictional and many more. The college campus was not big enough. Although it has school building attached to the college building. Most of the students travel through metro, buses, rickshaws and by their own vehicles. No, it is not allowed to keep your personal bike or car on campus. No hostels so no stay for relatives. Yes there are food joints outside the campus. The college campus is near a market if sec-7, so students can go after College there to eat. Although there is no canteen in college campus. Yes college has a medical centre in the basement near library. I don't think it is sufficient for everyone on the campus. There is no doctor, only nurse is present there.Overall campus life was okayish. After the class we enjoy I the class itself to get the period over. Actually we have a fixed time to leave the college at 4pm, so we can leave after that only whether there are classes or not. No nightlife as closes closest sharp at 4pm for students and as there is no hostels so neend to open after claases. Students can go out often between the college hours i.e. 9 AM to 4 PM. In campus you can hangout in garden in lunchtime and after classes i.e. 4 pm you can hangout outside College campus in nearby market and malls and various outlets. No nightlife, no hostels, so no need to roam outside the campus during the night. Cultural events are held at festivity time like Diwali, Holi, teacher's day, Ganesh chaturthi, Krishna Janmashtami, farewell, fresher's, orientation and many more. Fest also conducted here, but more of it can say inter college completions held over there. Although it is affiliated to ip so we can go to the ip colleges fests like the one happens in sovereign school. In this Miliaba performed in 2023. There are various clubs and committees in college. One was social media management, cr club , women empowerment, grevial society, bulletin board committee and cultural event committee. I applied for social media management but was not part of any. I think all of them plays a crucial roles in building a CV. But main of them could be social media management, if you want career in this, basically it depends on the role you will be applying, so overall it will help to build your cv. No, there isn't any international immersion programme offered by our college

There are various sports facilities on campus like basketball court, tennis court and sports room with indoor games like carom, table tennis and hoops. It also has various equipment for playing sports like tennis, badminton, basketball, football, hoops dumbbells, chess board, Ludo. Yes the equipment are provided by colleges and you can also bring your own equipment like badmintons. The college doesn't have gym and swimming pool. Auditorium is very big to cater 100-150 student with a smart class projector. It also has a big multipurpose hall where various programs and functions were held regularly. Also CC Activities were also conducted in multipurpose hall. The library is also good with all the facilities. We are provided with 2 card, so we can issue 2 books at a time for 7 days and return it to get your cards back. It has various books like of academics, novels, fictional and many more. The college campus was not big enough. Although it has school building attached to the college building. Most of the students travel through metro, buses, rickshaws and by their own vehicles. It is not allowed to keep your personal bike or car on campus. No hostels so no stay for relatives. There are food joints outside the campus. The college campus is near a market of sec-7, so students can go after College there to eat. Although there is no canteen in college campus. Yes college has a medical centre in the basement near library. I don't think it is sufficient for everyone on campus. There is no doctor, only nurse is present there.Overall campus life was okayish. After the class we enjoy I the class itself to get the period over. Actually we have a fixed time to leave the college at 4pm, so we can leave after that only whether there are classes or not. No nightlife as closes closest sharp at 4pm for students and as there is no hostels so need to open after classes. Students can go out often between the college hours i.e. 9 AM to 4 PM. In campus you can hangout in garden in lunchtime and after classes i.e. 4 pm you can hangout outside College campus in nearby market and malls and various outlets. No nightlife, no hostels, so no need to roam outside the campus during the night. Cultural events are held at festivity time like Diwali, Holi, teacher's day, Ganesh Chaturthi, Krishna Janmashtami, farewell, fresher's, orientation and many more. Fest also conducted here, but more of it can say inter college completions held over there. Although it is affiliated to IP so we can go to the IP colleges for fests like the one that happens in sovereign school. In this Milind Gaba performed in 2023. There are various clubs and committees in college. One was social media management, cr club, women empowerment, grevial society, bulletin board committee and cultural event committee. I applied for social media management but was not part of any. I think all of them plays a crucial roles in building a CV. But main of them could be social media management, if you want career in this, basically it depends on the role you will be applying, so overall it will help to build your CV. There isn't any international immersion programme offered by our college.

Good and Bad Aspects of the Course: Good Aspects: The curriculum offers a solid foundation in core subjects. For engineering students, courses like Computer Science or Electronics are well-structured. Practical Labs: They provide hands-on experience, which is crucial in fields like engineering. Bad Aspects: Outdated Syllabus: Some parts of the syllabus haven’t been updated for years, especially when it comes to new industry trends and emerging technologies. Lack of Practical Exposure: Though labs are present, they often feel disconnected from real-world applications, and the practical exposure could be improved. 3. Exams per Year: There are typically 2 major exams per year, known as the End Semester Exams (for both odd and even semesters). In addition, there are mid-term exams (internal assessments) and regular assignments/projects that contribute to your final score. 4. Class Schedule and Free Time: Classes per Day: Generally, there are 4 to 6 classes a day, each lasting about 1 hour. Timings: Classes usually start at 9 AM and can go up to 4 or 5 PM, depending on your schedule and lab sessions. Free Time: After classes, students have a decent amount of free time in the evening, though this may vary based on assignments, projects, or exam preparation. Weekends are usually free unless there are extra classes or workshops. 5. Teaching Methodology: The teaching style varies greatly depending on the faculty. Some professors rely heavily on PowerPoint presentations and dictate notes, while others engage students with interactive sessions and practical examples. Unfortunately, many faculty members focus more on theory than practical application, which can be frustrating for students who prefer hands-on learning. 6. Admired Faculty Members: Prof. S.K. Sharma (Mathematics): He was one of the most engaging teachers, simplifying complex concepts in an easily digestible way. Prof. Anil Gupta (Electronics): His passion for the subject and ability to relate theory to real-world scenarios made him stand out. 8. Mandatory Attendance Rule: Yes, there’s a mandatory attendance rule. Students are required to maintain at least 75% attendance in each subject. If you fall below the required attendance, you could be barred from taking the end-semester exams, which is a serious issue. However, in practice, some leniency is shown, and students with 60-70% attendance are often let off with warnings or additional assignments. But I’ve seen people being denied exam entry due to low attendance, especially if they repeatedly flout the rule.
