Ques. How good is the EPGP course at IIM, Bangalore?

● Top Answer By Snigdha Roy on 29 Jul 21

Ans. The EPGP programoffered by IIM Bangalore was developed for a different audience. It is for students who want to apply directly for leadership roles in the industry. Also, sponsored candidates can also prefer the program. Well academically, it is also as demanding as PGP, with more detailed casework and discussions. There are exams and quizzes each month and the placement is rigorous for mid-level roles in the industry. The program leaves the studying to you so it's on you to build a takeaway for yourself. It is at par with 1-year full-time MBA programs in India, such as ISB, IIMA PGPX, and IIMC PGPEX. This is a short brief on the EPGP program of IIM Bangalore. Hope it gives you some clarity about the program.Read more

Ques. How is IIM Kozhikode for an Executive MBA for someone with 10 years of work experience? Is the time duration and investment worth it?

● Top Answer By Mishika Sharma on 16 Sept 21

Ans. Before doing an MBA or an executive MBA from any institute, you should be clear of the purpose of doing this at this stage. Before taking any decision, take a look at the placements. If the average salary of the college is below or similar to what you are getting currently, then it is not worth it to pursue MBA. IIM Kozhikode has an average salary of INR 15 LPA and you are earning the same then there is no point in investing 1 year and 20 lakhs on this course.  If you are planning to switch your domain from Marketing to IT, then it will be pretty difficult after such a long experience in one particular domain. IIM Kozhikode can help in gaining knowledge with a good network through Executive MBA. But with such great experience, you can try for a good institute such as HBS, Wharton, INSEAD, or at least IIM Ahmedabad.  IIM Kozhikode is a good university with a good reputation. But if you are looking for quality education and some CV points, look for opportunities abroad. If your current salary is very low compared to IIM Kozhikode’s average salary, then only consider joining it, otherwise do not waste your time and money.Read more
