Haryana GNM Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

For taking admissions in the GNM Nursing Course in Haryana, every candidate needs to meet the eligibility criteria set by the Haryana Nurses Council.

Educational Qualifications

  • The candidates must have passed 12th standard examination, with Science and English as compulsory subject. They must score a minimum aggregateof 40% in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates from State-recognized vocational ANM course or Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized AISSCE / CBSE / ICSE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks are also eligible for taking admissions to the course.
  • Candidates from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) are also eligible for admission to GNM Course in Haryana.

Age Limit

The candidates seeking admission in the GNM Nursing Course in Haryana must fulfil the age criteria set by the authority: 

  • Minimum 17 years on or before December 31, 2023.
  • The upper age limit is 35 years.
  • The candidate should be medically fit.
  • Only Female candidates are eligible for the admission to GNM course in Haryana.

The mode of filling the application form is completely online. Interested candidates can fill up the application form on the official website of Directorate of Medical Education, Andhra Pradesh. The students can pay the application fees in either online or offline mode.

An interested candidate needs to follow the following steps in order to apply for GNM Nursing Course in Haryana:

  • Visit the official website of the Department of Medical Education and Research, Government of Haryana.
  • Fill the application form at the given link for GNM Admissions. 
  • Candidates need to fill the application form available on the website carefully by going through all the instructions and after checking the eligibility criteria.
  • Submit the required documents along with the form and application fee before the due date.
  • The authority will release the merit list and it will be followed by document verification, choice filling, and seat allotment procedure.
  • The Candidates will be required to submit the printed copy of the application form at the time of reporting, to the allotted college. In case of failing the same, the candidate shall be rejected or disqualified without any further correspondence.

Haryana GNM Admission 2023: Important Documents

The candidates must carry the following original certificates and documents along with two sets of duly attested photo copies of these at the time of reporting:

  • Class 12th mark sheet and passing certificate
  • Class 10th mark sheet and passing certificate
  • ID Proof (Aadhar card / driving licence / PAN card / Voter ID / Govt. or PSU card / 12th class examination admit card)
  • Birth certificate
  • Valid Caste certificate, sub-category certificate, if applicable (Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, Physically Handicapped, Children of Deceased /Disabled /Ex-Serviceman, Dependants of Freedom Fighters)
  • Domicile certificate, if applicable

Haryana GNM Admissions 2023: Selection Procedure

The selection of the candidates for the admission, will be purely based on merit in aggregate marks obtained and the choice/preference of the school filled up by the candidate on the online portal. Incomplete applications or applications submitted without attested copies of relevant documents will be rejected.

During the selection process, the preference will be given to the candidates in following order:

  • Candidates who have passed class 12th with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) in their qualifying exams.
  • Those who are registered as ANM with the State Nurses Registration Council.
  • 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent from the School and recognized by Indian Nursing Council with 40% marks.
  • Candidates who have passed class 12th with Arts.
  • Candidates who qualified 10+2 Arts or Science Examination or Healthcare Science Vocational stream only conducted by National Institute of Open School with 40% marks.

Haryana GNM Nursing Admissions 2023: Reservation Policy

All the seats in Government Nursing Schools will be filled up as per the State Reservation Policy. However in Private Nursing Schools, 50% of the seats will be filled under the State Quota (Open Merit Category) and 50% seats will be under the Management Category. The State Reservation policy shall be applicable to all the State Quota Seats (Open Merit Category Seats) in Private Nursing Schools.

Ans. No, male candidates cannot apply for admission to GNM Course in Haryana. Only Female candidates are eligible for the admission to GNM course in Haryana. 

Ques. What is the course fee of the GNM Nursing course in Haryana?

Ans. The fees for the entire GNM Nursing course in Haryana is INR 198200. The candidates should deposit the fees to the concerned institution at the time of admission. However, the fees will be payable on an annual basis and the institutes cannot insist upon the candidates to deposit fees for the entire course in advance.
