What is CUET Percentile Score?
CUET result is released after the calculation of the percentile score using the normalization process. CUET Percentile Score specifies the percentage of candidates who have scored equal to or lower than that individual percentile in CUET 2023 exam.
- The percentile score for CUET 2023 is obtained based on the relative performance of all the candidates who take the exam across all days and shifts.
- The marks obtained by candidates are transformed on a scale of 100 to 0 for each shift/ session.
- As a result of the percentile score calculation, the topper (highest score) of each session is awarded the same percentile of 100.
- The marks acquired in between the highest and lowest scores are also converted to adequate percentiles.
CUET Result 2023: Score Normalization Process
CUET 2023 has been conducted in 6 phases in multiple shifts. The set of questions asked in each session are different from the other and hence the difficulty level across all sessions might not be the same.
Some sessions are bound to be easier/ tougher than the others in terms of overall difficulty. As a result, the candidates who appear for a tougher exam are likely to attempt fewer questions and consequently get lesser marks than the ones who attempt the easier exam. To overcome this discrepancy, NTA uses the score normalization procedure.
- Through the normalization procedure based on percentile score, NTA ensures that CUET UG result does not put any candidate at a disadvantage.
- The percentile score is calculated up to 7 decimal places to avoid the bunching effect.
- To calculate CUET result 2023 after normalization, NTA uses the below-mentioned formula to calculate the percentile score:

After the declaration of CUET Result 2023, NTA will not accept any requests or correspondences for re-evaluation and re-checking of CUET scores and rank. The marks and rank mentioned on CUET scorecard 2023 will be final. The result of CUET 2023 will be compiled based on the final answer key prepared after taking into account the challenges made against the provisional answer key, if any. Before the declaration of result, you will be allowed to challenge the provisional CUET 2023 Answer Key.

How to Challenge Provisional CUET 2023 Answer Key?
Candidates must follow the following steps to submit their claim for wrong answers.
- Enter the official website, i.e., cuet.nta.nic.in
- Click on the ‘CUET Answer Key Challenge’ tab
- Log in using your CUET 2023 application Number and Date of Birth
- Select the 'View/Challenge Answer Keys' tab to view all the questions in sequential order
- The ID under the correct option is the answer considered correct by NTA.
- To challenge the answers, candidates must choose the correct answer as per them by selecting the checkbox next to the correct ID.
- After this, press the 'Save Your Claim' tab to view all the answer IDs that you have challenged
- Press the ‘Save your Claim and Pay Fee Finally’ tab to submit your claims. Candidates need to pay a fee of INR 200 per answer challenged.

CUET merit list 2023 will be released by each participating university on its respective website. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of CUET 2023 scores. CUET Merit List will contain the list of candidates shortlisted for admission to the college.

After the result declaration, cut off will be declared by every central university. CUET 2023 cut off will be based on the minimum qualifying marks in the entrance exam. For admissions in various courses offered by the central universities, candidates will be required to meet the cut off of CUET 2023.
