FMGE 2023 June Session is going to be conducted as a computer-based test. As per FMGE 2023 Exam Pattern, The exam paper is divided into two parts – Part A and Part B. What is FMGE? Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) is conducted twice a year by the National Board of Examinations for screening medical students who wish to get a medical certificate from the National Medical Commission and work as medical practitioners in India.

FMGE 2023 Result
FMGE 2023 result for the June session is expected to be announced in July 2023. Candidates who appeared for the exam will be able to download the same from the official website once released.
Steps To Download FMGE Result 2023
Following are the steps that need to be followed to download FMGE Result 2023:
- Visit the official website
- Click on FMGE Result link, the result will get displayed on the screen in PDF format.
- Scroll through the result PDF to find your result.
- See your result, download and save for future references.
FMGE Scorecard will also be uploaded soon after the result announcement. All candidates, irrespective of their category must score at least 50% marks (150 out of 300) to qualify. NBE will share the result of qualified candidates with the Medical Council of India and the State Medical Councils. Such candidates will be able to State Medical Council of any state in India by paying the required registration fee.
Only after completion of one- year internship, a candidate will be issued a permanent registration.
FMGE 2023 Eligibility
FMGE Eligibility is defined by NBE. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam must ensure they fulfill the following requirements set by the body:
- Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India or an overseas citizen of India.
- Qualification: Candidates must have a primary medical qualification that is recognised by the concerned Indian Embassy.
- Result Date: FInal exam result of the candidate must have been declared on or before October 14, 2023. Necessary documents clearly supporting the same must be submitted stating that the candidate has completed the mandatory courses with the result desired by his/her institution.
- Document Requirement: Candidates who fail to submit the required documents will not be eligible to appear for the examination. Only those who possess Eligibility Certificate (if applicable), Provisional Pass/Degree Certificate of their Primary Medical Qualification may apply.
- Foreign Eligibility: Candidates who are seeking either a provisional or permanent registration in India do not have to qualify for the screening test if they hold an undergraduate medical qualification from 1. Australia, 2. Canada, 3. New Zealand, 4. United Kingdom, 5. United States of America. Such candidates must also be a recognized medical practitioner in the aforementioned countries.
- Pakistani Students: Candidates who have a primary medical qualification from Pakistan must have their security clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Govt of India.
FMGE 2023 Registration
FMGE 2023 Registration window is open for June Session. Candidates can register themselves for FMGE 2023 March 8, 2023 The application fee is INR 7080 (Exam fee of 6000+ GST of 1080).
Candidates can apply by following the steps below:
- Visit the official website of NBE;
- Click on FMGE 2023 link and then on the “New Registration” button
- Select if you are filling the form for yourself and on behalf of someone else.
- Register by entering your name, date of birth, mobile number, email id, nationality, and gender.
- Generate OTP and enter the captcha for confirmation.
- The OTP will be communicated to you via mail and SMS.
- After confirmation of the registration details, your application number will be displayed. Note down the same.
- Click on the “Go to Application Form” link at the top of the page.
- Now fill in your personal, contact, identification, residential, qualification, and eligibility certificate details.
- Upload required documents; left-hand thumb impression, colored photo, scanned signature, medical degree, and passport.
- Select your preferred test center state and city.
- Pay the fee online or offline at the SBI branch to complete your application.
- A confirmation email will be sent to you on the successful completion of the application.
FMGE Application Form Correction
The application form correction window for FMGE will be open in the 3rd week of March 2023. During this period, candidates will be able to edit some information only in the editable fields. Information that cannot be changed includes:
- Name of the Candidate
- Email ID
- Nationality
- Test City
If any error is found in the images uploaded in the form, candidates will be notified regarding the same. A second form correction window allowing candidates to edit the images with issues will open.
FMGE 2023 Admit Card
Successfully registered candidates will be issued FMGE Admit Card in May 2023. However, if a candidate is considered ineligible, he/she will not be issued a hall ticket. Those who have been issued a hall ticket will be informed via SMS and email.
Candidates will be able to download the admit card from NBE's official website. After printing out a copy, affix a recent colored photo keeping the following parameters in mind:
- The dimension must be 35x45 with the face and head occupying 75% of the area.
- There should be no reflection or shadow on the face.
- Only high quality photos of at least 600 dpi Resolutions will be accepted.
- Caps, Stethoscope, Goggles, or Ornaments are not to be worn.
Candidates are to report to their respective exam centres on the time mentioned on the admit card. An exam functionary with a barcode reader will verify the admit card which must be flashed by the candidate.
In keeping with the rules and regulations applied by the exam body due to COVID 19, candidates must comply with the guidelines such as maintaining distance, temperature check at entry points, and use of masks/ sanitizer.
Note: The name of the photo identification card and the name of the admit card should not mismatch. In case of change of name, supporting documents must be shown.

FMGE Exam Day Guidelines
- Candidates must maintain social distancing at all times both outside and inside the test center.
- FMGE admit card has a covid 2 pass to travel to areas with restrictions.
- Entry and exit will be down in staggered slots to avoid crowding.
- Candidates must carry a negative covid 19 report done not more than 72 hours after the test.
- The temperature of candidates will be checked at the test center and those with temperatures above the normal range will take the exam in a separate lab.
- Candidates will not be allowed inside the test center without wearing a face mask.
- A safety kit consisting of the face shield, face mask, and hand sanitizer will be provided for use in both morning and afternoon shifts.
- Candidates who are unwell are advised to refrain from appearing in the exam.

FMGE 2023 Preparation
- Practice: It is the key to success according to 2020 topper so that one does not lose their exam preparation pace. When the exam is close, increase the number of tests per week to ace the paper.
- Attempt Mock Tests: This is the best way to familiarize yourself with the difficulty level of the exam, question type, and important topics. The more mock test you solve, the better your chance to score.
