WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management is Germany’s number one business school for degree programs demonstrating a decidedly selective admission policy. The institution has a student strength of 1,880. Prospective students can apply for admission to 71 academic programs at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management. The Entrepreneuial spirit and culture of the school is enriched with four types of MBA programs among others.

The school accepts applications throughout the year. However, international students willing to pursue MBA need to submit their application within December 15 for April Intake and May 31 for September intake. The school encourages Indian students to apply one month prior to the application deadline due to the long visa application process.

WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management International Admissions

International applicants are required to provide the following mentioned, documents, and test scores. They are also required to complete the visa process. The details of documents and processes for an international applicant are briefed in the sections below:

Admission Requirements for International Students: The international admission requirements are listed below:

  • Create an online application profile and scan and upload the required documents such as:

    • Official transcripts certified by the registrar of the institution(s) the applicant has studied at.
    • The downloadable biographical questionnaire must be downloaded and filled up and uploaded to the portal.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 180 ECTS credits from an accredited institution.
  • GRE/GMAT/TM-BASE
  • Test scores of English proficiency.
  • Work experience requirements.
  • One LOR for Germany is needed by senior faculty or supervisor.
  • The WHU admission test must have been successfully passed.

Visa Process for International Students

International students applying to study at a German institute are required to have a residence permit visa for educational purposes or student visa.

  • Applicants are required to provide the following documents at the time of visa application:
  • Proof or the health insurance cover
  • One passport photograph
  • Registration form
  • Application form for the residence permit
  • Attestation of the landlord
  • Financial statement to show that the applicant has enough funds
  • Letter of acceptance from German University

Apart from the student visa, non-EU students need to get a residence permit from the local authorities in Germany if the applicant is planning to stay for longer than three months. The entire visa process may take up to two months. Applicants must take care of the documents and scores when applying for the visa.
