Bachelor of Arts [B.A] (Applied Philosophy)
Field of Study:
The aim of the bachelor's degree in "Applied Philosophy" is to orient the various areas of philosophy towards non-academic professional objectives (and not primarily towards the internal objectives of the subject of philosophy). The philosophical teaching content is accordingly prepared and conveyed in such a way that
- Implications of philosophical questions and their solutions for lifeworld, educational, social, political, and scientific discourses are highlighted and accordingly
- the technical and content-related competence is imparted to analyze, reconstruct and critically evaluate one's own and others' arguments in such discourses and to be able to constructively contribute to finding a consensus as a participant in dialogue with others.
The "applied philosophy" basically means a correspondingly structured approach to all areas of philosophy. In addition, the course also includes a content-related profile through its specific focus on applied philosophy in the narrower sense of the area of "Applied Ethics".
