Special features:?The course offering in the fields of literature and cultural studies are enriched by a cooperation agreement with the Department of History and the Division of Folklore and Cultural History. Moreover, students in the English and American Studies programme may opt for an interdisciplinary concentration in Language and Cognition, which is offered in cooperation with the Department of German Linguistics and the Department of German as a Foreign Language.
Career opportunities:?After graduation, students will be qualified for high-level positions at the crossroads between business, culture, and the public sector as well as in fields of work requiring outstanding language and communication skills and intercultural experience. This may include multinational corporations, libraries, archives, digital media, and publishing houses. In addition, graduates may choose to pursue a Ph.D. in the humanities or cultural studies.
