The aim of the Master Degree course Mechatronics and Robotics is to educate specialists and experts at the interface between mechanical engineering, computer engineering, and electrical engineering. In this program, students have to study practical courses and supplementary subjects. They also get the research Internship options in terms of the project, team project, and practical research course. Students will be trained in interdisciplinary thinking and be able to
- connect mechanical, electric, and data-processing components
- design robotic systems
- develop smart objects and the internet of things.

There are zero tuition fees for all students at TUM. However, all the students are entitled to pay a semester fee of 144.40€ ( 170.39 USD) which includes Student Union fees and the basic semester ticket for public transportation in Munich.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students should have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution and must complete the aptitude assessment procedure.
- Applicants with a degree from Bangladesh, China, India, Iran, or Pakistan will have to submit a GRE (General) Test. Technical University Munich has defined required minimum scores, lower scores will not be accepted. The required scores are:
- Quantitative reasoning: 157
- Analytical writing: 3.5

To apply for the MS Automotive Engineering program of TUM, you must have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university. You must demonstrate proficiency in English through a recognized language test such as TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent. Submission of GRE score is necessary for admission in this program.
To apply for the Master in Renewable Energy program of TUM you must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, natural sciences, or mathematics, with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Along with this you must also have a valid ELP test score. GRE score is not optional but preferred.
