- German studies is the German language and literature in the past and present. In accordance with this definition of subject, there are two major sub-disciplines of German studies, namely linguistics and literary studies.
- In addition, there is the didactics of German language and literature, i.e. the discipline that deals with the teaching of German and its literature.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- If Student is attending to"Studienkolleg", in order to prepare for the university assessment exam.
- Students need to take a DSH-Exam (German as a Foreign Language exam).

In order to be able to start the master's degree, a successfully completed first degree (usually a bachelor's degree in geography or a comparable degree) is required.
