This course provides high quality quantitative training in economics, a focus on advanced research methods and a supervised research thesis. Students get a rigorous grounding in using mathematical and statistical methods to derive, test and apply formal economic models. In addition to core modules in microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics, students have the option of completing a two-term specialisation in either Statistics or one of Behavioural Economics, Law and Economics of Competition, Environmental and Energy Economics, or Development Economics and Trade.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have degree with at least an upper second class honours or international equivalent in Economics or in a degree in which Economics is a major component.
- An upper second class honours in a Higher Diploma in Economics or in the MSc Qualifier.
- Students require a minimum of 60% or higher in previous studies.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

Course Curriculum
One year Master's course. Divided into three trimesters. The first trimester covers your fundamental subjects: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, etc. The second trimester is Elective subject based. 4 electives are to be chosen. Special mention: Aviation economics, energy economics, behavioral economics, bayesian econometrics, EU competition, and Industrial Policy are electives worth mentioning. All second-trimester module learnings are very closely related to industry requirements. Assessments, projects, and exams cover a large part of situation-based or case-based analysis. The third trimester is optional to choose between a dissertation thesis or an internship. Internships often are converted to full-time roles.
Fees
Fees are separate for EU and Non-EU applicants. Non-EU applicants almost pay twice the amount as that EU applicants. Fees for M.Sc. Applied Economics for Non-EU applicants: Euro 19,900.
