Dr. A.S.Srinivasa Rao is the Principal at Aditya Institute of Technology and Management, Srikakulam, and the professor in the ECE department. He has completed his B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. from Andhra University. He has been an integral part of this Institute since 2002 and has worked in several different domains. He has more than 20 years of experience in research and academics.

What keeps you connected to the education sector?

“As a Professor, the interactions with young creative minds regarding education always inspires me”

 I have constantly motivated students to cultivate a strong habit of being always associated with academics. It allows us to be lifelong learners. This mantra has helped me become the expert academician that I am today.

What are the various courses offered at your college?

“Excellent placement opportunities, a wide range course curriculum, and specialization courses”

Our Institute offers six B. Tech courses, five M.Tech courses, and an MBA course. The B tech courses include ECE, Computer Science, IT, Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil. In M. tech, we offer specialization courses for Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical and Civil.

We provide great placement opportunities to our students. Our annual records state that more than 80% of students get successfully placed during recruitment season.

What are the teaching methods adopted by the institution for the overall growth of the student?

“Training in communication, presentation and leadership skills allows comprehensive evolution of students”

We mainly focus on academics but in addition to that, we also focus on the development of communication and non-technical skills. We have regular classes and different training sections to improve these aspects. Developing skills such as teamwork, time management, Networking, and Conflict resolution is considered very essential in our institute. This also helps students to get better placement offers.

What steps do you take to help the students from economically weaker backgrounds?

“Fee waiver options and State government scholarships for meritorious students from financially weaker sections” 

 Most of the students coming into the institution hail from economically poor backgrounds i.e., from the nearby villages and the nearby districts. We provide government enabled scholarships for students, based on their merits. This way the students are motivated to excel in their respective fields. We are also giving fee waivers to the students who have scored excellently in EAMCET. 

What message would like to give to the current youth and inspiring students?

“Fix a goal before you go into higher education and then work towards achieving it with determination”

The current generation of students does not have a proper set of goals. I would suggest my students first decide their career path, and think about what interests them most. Then only one should decide the area of higher education for themselves.
