What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Education as a tool to upgrade and uplift in most dynamic terms”

I personally believe that education is the only weapon we can use to change and uplift society. Teaching and Research are my strong emotions. I always try to upgrade my range of knowledge in several domains and strongly wish the same to be the attitude of everyone around. Education is one of the key components that bring growth and progress into society. The more people in a society are educated, the more they can provide a beneficial contribution to their nation and environment.

How would you describe your leadership style?

“Empower and inspire others to succeed”

I have encountered all types of leadership styles in my career; some good, some bad, but I have learned something important from every single one of them. According to me an effective leader builds others up, empowering their employees, inspiring them to succeed. They are transparent, I usually like to be like this. Whatever you are, be a good one - is my personal motto.

How do you strategize about the key plans for the marketing of your college?

“Mobile-friendly and online presence with quality standards”

For many years, the private organizations successfully recruited prospective students without devising concrete marketing strategies. But, now the scenario has changed due to the digitalisation and also the impacts of COVID-19. I strongly feel it’s very important to implement a digital or virtual marketing plan. We use video marketing, it is extremely effective as younger people watch videos on their smartphones and laptops. We also make use of social media to provide help about our courses, campus look, centralized furniture etc. But, after all these strategies, the institution has to hold and maintain the globally accepted standards both in teaching and in providing infrastructure. Periodically, we have to provide opportunities to students to showcase their potential through symposia’s, Youth icon programmes etc. In fact, these will bring a good name and fame to the organization automatically.

What can an inbound student gain from studying here in your college?

“Student oriented atmosphere with differential evaluation and teaching”

Our choice of curriculum depends on the students, the lectures are very informative and interactive. The exams and grade systems are also very different here. The grading system does not depend on one final exam, instead, it depends on the Quizzes, Seminars, Assignments, Tech Talks, Midterms as well. Most of our faculty members are Ph.D holders and we encourage our teachers, use the latest teaching aids in the classroom. We are trying to maintain world class standards in every area and the institute’s main aim is student-centric learning. The student would be able to have all round development here at ASCET.

How does the curriculum of ASCET ensure the best practice of industry?

“Mandatory internships with wider learning benefits”

We make our students enroll for internships. In our curriculum, we have a full semester Internship which must be attained by every student without fail. Internships help understand the application of knowledge, and students can maintain a healthy networking with professionals of industry which eventually benefit them with hands-on experience, field experimentation and also increases professional confidence among the students. Our curriculum keeps updating every 2 years, keeping in mind what the industry needs from students. We develop the contents, giving preference to those courses which are essentially required for students to get placed within the campus itself.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the college are?

“Monitoring, Development, Leadership and Visionary”

One of my important responsibilities is regulation of academic and general administration and monitoring the systems, policies and functioning of the institution. As a leader and director, I try to fulfil the expectations of the governmental monitoring bodies like AICTE, UGC, AFRC along with the expectations of the top management, students and their parents. Developmental activities have also to be focused on too. Research related activities are to be given major priority along with other major responsibilities.

What do you think should be the institute's top priority over the next 10 years?

“A benchmark in quality education and eco-friendly campus”

Bringing up ASCET to the heights of success is our foremost priority. For this, we are improving educational attainment levels in the region and increasing relevance of instruction to students needs. We are elevating student success rates across all disciplines while maintaining academic rigor and quality educational outcomes. Also, to facilitate effective R&D and faculty governance by maintaining and increasing communications and transparency of process throughout the institution is what we aspire for. We wish to support a rich and diverse classroom and university culture that fuels a passion for lifetime learning by improving our universal assessment of learning outcomes, student enrolment and retention by maintaining quality of programs at a reasonable cost. In addition, we seek to reduce environmental and financial costs of the institution through conservation of resources and use of best practices across the campus.

What would you like people to know about your college that they may not know?

“National associations, research orientation and full placements”

In addition to the world class furniture, resources and well qualified faculty, the institution was accredited with NAAC B+ Grade in its second cycle. We have focused on enhancing the standards of the college in all aspects which eventually resulted in extension of the institution’s autonomous status. Set up of incubation centre for innovation, association with NITI AAYOG , Ministry of Rural Development and another feather in ASCET’s successful crown is being accredited with NAAC A+ recently and many more. Also, we organize many nationwide events, and welcome the technocrats to impart and cater their hidden talents. Audisankara is a temple of learning with student centric learning approach. It is an organization that helps students acquire value-based education, providing 100% placements with a perfect ambience to study.

What do you see as ASCET’s greatest strengths?

“Exponential amenities, faculty and specialized trainings”

Coming to strengths, we possess good infrastructure, state-of-art laboratories and a voluminous library with abundant titles, volumes, journals and a digital library as well. Also, we have well-qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty with rich domain knowledge. What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education?

“Quality maintenance and finances for outputs”

As we all notice that there is growth in numbers of colleges, universities, students and teachers year after year, the teaching quality and recruitment process has reduced, which further hinders student skill development. Also, financial aids need to be improved as they throw a challenge of ensuring quality and resources in any institute. Also, project based learning and ethical concepts are still a challenge in our institutions.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth?

“Work for your and nations’ future”

I always believe that todays’ youth can stand responsible for the betterment of the nation. I suggest they should find their inspiration in the field they want to pursue and start developing skills and portfolio. They must learn to build and work in teams, and accept criticism as well. Also, you must be familiar with the world around you. Enhance your practical experience, and be more responsible for the development of the nation and give contribution for the same.

What plans are you currently designing for ASCET international affairs?

“Associations worldwide and MOUs with universities abroad”

Despite being located in a remote area of Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh, we have made our students associated with a reputed foreign university, Stanford University, California. ASCET has initiated its footsteps and is sincerely trying to take an enterprise-wide planning process that builds on our unique assets and strengths to reimagine the international dimension of our mission. The institute holds many MOUs with foreign universities to widen its scope of learning by the students.

How do you tend to establish a healthy environment in your college?

“Keeping a positive, conducive and interactive atmosphere”

Our students deserve the best in every aspect. Proper facility maintenance is truly the unsung hero in the education industry. The college ambience, safety and well being of students are important antecedents of academic achievement. We have established a supportive learning culture, and often conduct interactive programs, games and activities to maintain a good learning environment. Also, we address learners' needs, and provide feedback and guidance to make them feel comfortable and satisfied. When educators foster a positive learning culture, learners are more likely to have the higher motivation that leads to promising learning outcomes.
