We are shaping our students with the best skill sets to be industry ready

Over the last ten years, higher education in India is facing a challenging task on overcoming low enrolment ratio, low quality of teaching and learning, constraints on research capacity and innovation, uneven growth and access to learning opportunities, etc. The private sector with government support played a significant role in the expansion of the Indian education system and improving its quality.

As an institution, we at Delhi Technical Campus are able to make useful contributions in shaping the careers of thousands of students across more than 100 companies. We are helping the industries by providing skilled resources, and helping them by reducing the training cost and contributing significantly in improving national growth rate.

Work like it is the last day of your life

In my opinion, leadership means that all the stakeholders are satisfied at the end of the day and so am I. If they are not, then I might have missed something and I should strive to achieve it.

My philosophy is simple: work like it is my last day today! Try to give abecedarian all of my knowledge so that knowledge can grow and expand to an extent where novelties can bloom. It can be implemented to exercise them for bridging up the loopholes existing in the system and administration. I believe in participative leadership and think of me as first among equals.

Leading by example and effective delegation by identifying the best performer is my leadership style

I would describe my leadership style as a combination of leading by example and effective delegation by identifying the best performer of the task and clear communication. I prefer delegating tasks, staying involved, inspiring team members with hands-on to help them.

There are challenges that stand between the thin line of success and the failure of the institute

There are significant challenges that stand between the thin line of success and the failure. It is important to identify the skill required for better placement of the students/trainees, which comes as the first challenge. It is followed by identifying the available/acquired skills to design training modules for bridging the gap between required and available skills. To implement the designed training modules effectively and efficiently to achieve the required skills is the last phase of achieving the goal.

Syllabus and curriculum is revised after every 3 years

The institute is affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University Rohtak. To meet the requirement of emerging trends and technologies and best practices adopted by the industries, syllabuses are revised regularly after every 3 years/regular intervals of time. This trend allows us to read the ideology of the students if they are industry ready or not. Also, this helps the professors to prepare themselves accordingly.

Top qualities that a student must possess

Students when they enter the institute and opt for a particular course, they should possess a positive attitude towards study. They should carry passion for the chosen course subject. Also, it is important for them to have the ability to think and work independently by working hard with determination. They should know how to gel-well with their peers to acquire the ability to work in groups. These top qualities are must for a student to be successful in their lives.

Ideal environment an institution must have

I feel the perspective differs from institute by institute. For us, a safe learning space for students is pivotal. Accompanied by attraction of teachers who are knowledgeable, care about student learning, and adapt their instruction to meet the needs of their learners. Also, an ideal environment should try to be nimble and adjust as the needs of students shift. An institute should recognize that student success is a complex idea and measuring it must be accomplished with many tools.

Students are the brand ambassadors of the institute and part of all committees

We are a student centric institute. Students are the brand ambassadors of the institute and part of all committees be it advisory, academic, discipline, anti ragging, cultural, sports and institute development committees. During the induction programme at the beginning of each semester, they are given an opportunity to interact with the governing body and allowed to raise their queries that helps in improving teacher-taught relationship.

Hard work and dedication is the key to success

Hard work is the only key to success. I would like to advise the students to choose the course of their choice. It is my firm belief that the carrier of one’s choice with fullest efforts makes life joyful and successful.
