Deepa M S is a HOD at Sri Jagadguru Chandrashekaranatha Swamiji Institute of Technology, Chickballapur, Karnataka. She did B.E in Mechanical Engineering and M.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering from VTU, Belgaum with University Second Rank and Research Scholar from VTU, Belgaum. She has a teaching experience of 16 years and worked as an Assistant Engineer, Karnataka Power Corporation Limited for a period of 4 years. Her areas of interest are Thermodynamics, Gas Dynamics, Aircraft Propulsion and Computational Fluid Dynamics. It is necessary to connect the industry with our curriculum on campus. The hard task is to keep an industry expectation in courses. The coverage of aspects of Aeronautical into the curriculum design is an essential part.

What types of projects students are working through the program?

“Application, research, software, and model-based projects”

The first one is a model-based project. It covers the areas like UAVs, Quadcopters, and Black Box. Furthermore, it is vital to look at application-based projects.
