Mr. Manu Ravuri is currently working as the Head of the Mechanical Department, West Godavari Institute of Science And Engineering, Tadepalligudem.He holds B.Tech, M.Tech and perusing Ph. D. He is a dedicated Associate Professor with experience in teaching, research and service in the area of Mechanical Engineering. He combines a focus on student achievement with a passion for scholarly work presenting and publishing at conferences and maintaining thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals.

Mr. Ravuri is deeply invested in earning tenure through administrative service committee contributions and an achievement-oriented approach to learning.  He has also published his book “Machinability Studies of Bearing Steels by Face Turning Operation.”


Working experience in The Industry and the Education Sector

I have about ample of experience in the education industry and industrial experience. Teaching profession helps us earn immense respect in the society & through the same, I can shape the lives of students which indirectly is helpful for the development of the country.


Maintaining the decorum of the Institute is the biggest challenge for the administrative post

To execute the academic plan & to maintain the decorum is the biggest challenge so far as it’s my first administrative job. To ensure the students are disciplined is the next big challenge.


The curriculum includes theoretical knowledge related to the industry requirements

The subjects that are being taught here, ensure basic knowledge delivery related to machinery, thereby, helping them in becoming industry-ready. The curriculum also helps them in getting theoretical knowledge related to the industry requirements.


Goals for the development of the students, In the Department of Mechanical Engineering, WGISE

The primary goal is to ensure that every student belonging to the mechanical department is placed by end of the final semester.

The second goal is to motivate our students to pursue higher studies & undertake research.

We have metric systems

We have metric systems incorporated to gauge a student, to review our faculty & to monitor the student performance.


Building a positive environment which endorses unity in diversity

We respect Unity in Diversity and we organize events which will help us in connecting students&faculty, thereby improving the student-faculty interaction and creating a positive culture.


Interacting with students to solve their problems and building a healthy relationship

I handle courses for every class in the department thereby interacting with them every day. I’m very approachable as the students can approach me with any of their problems.


Faculty and students are always encouraged to indulge in research

I encourage the Mechanical faculty to undertake research projects in the campus such that the facilities are made available within the campus through which students can be a part of research activities. Students are encouraged to come up with their own ideas.

I get my inspiration from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

A good leader always acts as a friend & supports in the right direction.

So,I try to give my students the right motivation to pursue their career goals.

Try to get the logic and understand the concept instead of just focusing on marks.
