Dr. S.Sai Ganesh is Director and Professor of Marketing, Strategy & Brand Management with more than 20 years of teaching experience. He has done his Ph.D. from Periyar University. He has published over 20 papers in Journals and presented more than 25 papers in conferences. He is on the editorial board of some leading International Journals published from India, Nigeria, and the USA. He has been invited as a Guest speaker/resource person for various training programs by more than 20 Institutes.

What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“Ensuring the quality of teaching is my major responsibility”

Taking responsibilities in Academic Planning and Audit of the DSBS-PGDM program and effective implementation of the academic Policies. Ensuring the quality of teaching and classroom engagement of the students and also facilitating the creation of a conducive learner-centric environment for quality education.


What is your Teaching Philosophy?

“Students are encouraged to learn from faculty as well as peers”

My teaching philosophy includes cultivating an active learning environment, both within and outside the classroom, where our students are inspired to share their expectations, expertise and exchange each other’s perspectives. Learning is primarily focused on active classroom discussions and group assignments, Cases and Internships. 


How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

Compromising authority can help the faculty to get closer to the students and understand them better. Faculty members are mentoring them to improve their academic performance by compromising the authority. We believe that based on the student-teacher relationship constructive guidance and criticism can be given to the students by understanding them better.

How do you strategize the curriculum and how often it gets updated to make it befitting for the students? 

Conceptual skills and leadership skills are part of the curriculum and pedagogy to meet the industrial requirements”

The curriculum is strategized to encourage the participants to improve their critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Being an Autonomous Institute we have the freedom to change the curriculum as we see best for our students. And exercise this freedom to keep our students at par with the ever-changing industry.
