What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education?

“Potential practical teaching of subjects”

The biggest challenge I see for higher education is the practical implications and implementation of all the theoretical aspects that are discussed in a classroom setting. The course material and the subjects should be designed as such that they are relevant in the present time with a futuristic approach. Also, the teaching methodology should be more practical based keeping in mind skill enhancement of the students to be industry-ready and relevant.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth?

“Live your life freely with appropriate goals”

Youth should try and live to the fullest; they should definitely pursue a hobby, travel and explore, socialize, be fitness-oriented and of course, pursue a career in the field to which they really relate to. I believe what you happily do is what you will do with utmost sincerity and involvement.

What do you think should be the college’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“Practical exposure to each and every student”

The Institute’s top priority over the next ten years is to introduce more and more training-oriented programs and courses and make more choices available to study for future generations. Especially being an all-girls Institute, we seek to prioritize providing more and more practical industry exposure to all its girl students so that they pass out from the Institute as fully trained and confident young professionals. We aspire to build the future leaders meeting not only the current but future global standards and requirements.

How do you guide your students to survive in such a competitive scenario?

“Motivation, guidance and counselling”

I motivate my students to be aware of what they want to achieve in life and especially work single-mindedly towards fulfilling it and never give up no matter how trying circumstances are. With this hike in competition, I help my students with the updated syllabus in their respective subjects. Along with that I also ensure proper counseling of students so that they can choose their field wisely.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relationship in your institute?

“Working forward with a collective approach”

Healthy relations can only be maintained when an individual person is lasting for a longer period and also if a person is getting older in that institute it means that person is getting to know more about the institute and also about other people. To maintain this healthy relation, it is important for each and every member to work with each other in a good team spirit and should support each other. The feeling of belongingness must be there. Any person under such circumstances with a healthy atmosphere is going to give the best result out of his or her performance in their respective fields.

What would you like people to know about MIT they may not know?

“Student-oriented and comforting environment for all”

MIT is a people-friendly place to work, the work culture is warming and helping, and very much employee-oriented and open-door policy exists within the institute. Even the students are made to feel at home when they join MIT and become a part of the small family-oriented ecosystem that exists in the Institute.

What has been your vision for education?

“Learning is always bi-directional”

My vision for Education is to grow and prosper in every respect. Being a teacher, I always try to give quality education to my students. Being a faculty member of the institute I have seen students coming out with great ideas. Sometimes it’s not only the teachers who make their students learn something well, but the students as well can give us great and innovative ideas.
