Mr. B. Chandra Sekhar is an Assistant professor in the stream of Information and Technology at VVIT, Guntur, Andhrapradesh. He has done M. Tech, specialization in CSE and B. Tech from in Computer science Program. He is a dedicated academician with work experience of 3 Years and has published unique research papers in reputed journals of science. He aims to build professional and ethical engineers that can solve the nation’s and society’s problems in a positive manner.

What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“Enable the learners with the best tools and academic practices”

  • Develop a methodology to educate students about the topic (problem-solving, small group discussions) and implementing the same in the classroom
  • Development of course handout material
  • Development of audiovisual and multimedia materials for the topic presented.
  • Preparation and execution of lesson plans.
  • Completing syllabus within the stipulated time.

How does your department prepare students for higher education and placements?

In our college, we have a training and placement department that handles placements and higher education for students. To assist the students in choosing the correct career path, we will guide and encourage them.

What valuable advice would you like to give to the students?

“Focus on enhancing your skills and update knowledge”

 One thing I can tell you is to work hard in order to achieve your goals. In order to survive in this very competitive world, you must be very confident and independent about your opinions. Developing your skills and updating your knowledge is most essential for students these days. 

What are the interventions you bring in apart from the curriculum to train the students?

“Training through various effective online courses, easily available for students”

 We introduce our students to some online hands-on practicing courses. But only if they are interested in learning beyond the curriculum. This gives them a chance to be exposed to current trending technologies.

How do you help your student to cope up with the competitive world?

“Inter-collegiate competitions and activities for the development of students”

Students from our college and from other colleges compete against one another in school-related competitions. The aim is to help our students improve their competitive skills in order to be able to compete in other high-level competitions.

What is the rate of admissions in your college? 

“A steady increase in the number of enrolments is evident in last few years”

From the day our college opened, the rate of admissions began to rise. It has also increased greatly since last year. The main reason why students or parents give priority to our college is that it helps students to develop their interpersonal skills as well as discipline them to behave properly.
