Uttarakhand Open University (UOU) Assignment 2021-22 has been released on the official university portal. Students can visit the website and check the assignments for different courses. Students are required to complete the assignments online and submit them along with the submission form to their respective study centres latest by March 31, 2022. 

Assignments provided by UOU are important for the students as the marks received are counted with the End term or Semester end exams. Students need to remember that the marks received in the assignments are important as failing to receive the pass marks means failure in the End term exam as well. 

The final results of the UOU students are a combination of marks received in the assignments and marks received in the End-Semester exams.

UOU Assignment 2021-22 Guidelines:

Before beginning the assignments, students need to pay attention to the vital guidelines charted by the university. Here are those:

  • Go through the instructional video carefully before you start your assignment quiz
  • Make sure that you have good internet connection
  • Make sure that you submit the assignments within the scheduled time frame. Otherwise, any open quiz will be submitted automatically after the time ends. 
  • Your Username is your Enrollment Number and Password is your Date of Birth (in YYYYMMDD format)
  • In case there is an issue with login or course code, mail your queries to assignment@uou.ac.in
  • There will be a maximum 2 attempts for each course. Out of the 2 attempts, the highest marks will be considered

Ques. What is the Gradation System for the UOU Students?

Ans. The combined marks received by the students (from assignments and semester end exams) shall be converted to appropriate Letter grade, using a 10 Grade Point Scale. The grade points then shall be considered for the computation of CGPA and SGPA. Below mentioned are the grade points:

Ques. What is the Mode of Programme Delivery Prior to the UOU Assignment?

Ans. The educational programme of the university is depended upon three pillars- University Headquarter, Regional Centre and Study Centres. The Regional Centres act as a bridge between the University and the Study Centres. The Study Centres fulfil the immediate academic and administrative duties. 

Ques. What are the Open Educational Resources (OER)?

Ans. OER refers to the teaching, learning and research materials that remain in the public domain that have been released by the UOU under their own policy. Uttarakhand Open University has released the resources on their own OER portal. It includes course materials, modules, textbooks, streaming videos, etc. so that students can study those and utilise the knowledge in their assignments. 

Ques. Can there be any Change in UOU Study Centre/ Programme/ Subject?

Ans. UOU students can change the study centre, programme or subject, but within the 60 days of online entry of the admission form. Students are advised to think about it carefully and do the necessary changes asap so that it does not create any hindrance in assignments or semester exams. They need to pay the prescribed fees:

  • Change of Study Centre: INR 500/
  • Change of Programme: INR 1500/
  • Change of Subject: INR 300/

Ques. How many attempts can be Made While Doing the UOU Assignment?

Ans. For each subject, students can have a maximum of 2 attempts within the given time. Out of the two attempts, the university will consider the one with the highest marks.
