With a prominent professional career of more than 42 years, Prof Ashok Mahapatra is serving as Vice-Chancellor at Shiksha O Anusandhan University, Bhubaneswar, Orissa. Besides holding key positions in foundation and administration of Top institutes of India like AIIMS and NSSI, he has also authored 16 Books and has written more than 140 chapters, have 870 publications with more than 13,500 citations, and has conducted over 20 research projects with over 10 crores as research grants.

What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“Creating a motivating and good learning environment”

We have a multifunctional and multi tasking staff that conveys best knowledge and information to our students. We maintain a holistic development approach by providing students with various opportunities to showcase their talent and skills. Students are motivated and encouraged to learn and grow with the best of concerns helping them to lead a peaceful and successful life. 

How does the curriculum of your University ensure the best practice of industry?

“A blend of theoretical and practical learning”

We always try to fill the gap between theoretical learning and their practical outcomes. We represent a fine blend of practical knowledge and mock sessions that help prepare students for the industrial world. There are mock sessions, industrial visits, vocational training programs being conducted on a regular basis along with advanced teaching methodologies and modern technical infrastructure. 

What do you think should be the College’s top priority over the next 10 years?

Our top priority is to have a smooth workflow with no or minimum clauses and flaws.
