"My passion to share my knowledge with others have kept me intacted with this sector"
My willingness to work for young people, sharing knowledge with them, inculcating an ethical value system and prioritizing research are few factors that have kept me connected with the educational sector.
Being with NERIM, what is your philosophy of leadership?
"Instead of leading them, I want to give everyone good ambiance and education to grow"
My philosophy of leadership is very simple. I don't want to lead anyone, but I want to create an environment where students can grow intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially. Because I believe that once my students and faculty team will be happy, we will be able to fulfill the vision and mission of our college.
How do you strategize the key programs for the marketing and administration of your institution?
"We connect with our students through social media handles"
The strategic decisions at NERIM are always taken at Executive Council meetings. And before planning the marketing activities of college, students' academic needs and requirements are also thoroughly analysed and carefully considered. We use our social media handles to communicate any information or event with the students.
How does the curriculum of your institute ensure the best practices of industry?
"It is backed by latest programs, trainings and real time industry projects"
We follow the curriculum designed by the University we are affiliated to. And it comprises the latest courses, best internship programs, practical based and skill oriented teaching pedagogy along with live project studies to help students understand the requirements and working of the industrial world.
How is your institute more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?
"Scholarships and financial waiver are available in our college for less privileged students"
We treat every student equal here in our campus and any kind of discrimination based on economic status, caste, gender or colour is strictly prohibited here. Students from the vernacular medium are encouraged to clear their doubts in the language they are comfortable with. And we also offer scholarships to such students who are financially less stable to help them complete their studies.

"To mentor them as and when required and offer them good ambiance to study"
Being the Principal, my responsibility is to shape and reform a vision of academic success for all the students. And to make it happen, I need to ensure that they face no hurdles in accessing facilities and programs provided by college.
When you first came to NERIM what was your vision for the institute?
"To bring best business value for college and provide finest quality education to students"
My vision when I joined this college was to make the institute a centre of excellence which can offer good quality education to students of the whole country and especially in the North Eastern Region.
What would you like people to know about your institute?
"The way we have established ourselves and enhanced our presence in country speaks a lot"
Our institute was established with limited infrastructural facilities. However, due to our amazing leadership and support of stakeholders we have evolved as an esteemed institute over a period of time.
What are some of the greatest strengths of your college?
"Our education quality and students are our main pillars of strength"
Our strategies of imparting finest quality education along with moral values in students will remain the greatest strengths for our institute. In addition to this, diversity of our students is another main pillar of our strength.
What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education in general?
"High expectations of parents from their childrens and difficulty less privileged children face in accessing good quality education"
I believe growing expectations of parents towards their children puts an unnecessary pressure and threat in students that yes they have to achieve those things and if somehow they fail to achieve those goals, their confidence is shaken completely which is not at all bearable. Also accessibility and affordability to good quality education is again a dream for many students of our country and especially for those who come from less developed areas. These two are the major hurdles for higher education in general.

Any suggestions which you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?
"Acquire good ethical values as your mark sheets are not a mere proof of your character"
I would suggest to my dear students and our aspiring students that your degree or marksheet is not the proof of your character and values. Your personality reflects in your vision, civilized behaviour and enlightened thoughts, so learn new skills, start networking with good people around you and define your own goals instead of following others blindly.
How do you establish a healthy relationship and environment in your institute?
"By providing the collaborative work environment and establishing feedback mechanisms"
To maintain a healthy relationship with everyone, we promote the ambiance of teamwork and regular open communication in our college. And we have also established the feedback mechanism system to effectively assess students strengths and weaknesses and make them aware about the same. Lastly, seminars are organized for the students to give them an overview of industrial requirements and latest developments.
