Gaurav: General (No Reservation).

Describe the general setting of WAT/ GD (if any)?

Gaurav: There was no GD round or WAT session.

Describe the general setting of your interview?

Gaurav: There was an Online Interview session where IIM Amritsar’s 2 Faculty members were on the panel. The interview session was around 15-18 minutes. It was not a stressful interview round & all the questions were asked regarding the previous curriculum & about myself. There were some questions about statistics & GK.

Gaurav: There were general questions such as, (1) Tell me about yourself? (I told about my VIT journey and talked about my Hometown, then I told about my achievements and awards and my hobbies) (2) What is your hometown famous for? I told them about the Lakes in Udaipur which they are famous for. 3) Why You want to do an MBA instead of an Engineering Job? (I talked about the circumstances when I failed in the marketing department of my Car team in bringing sponsorship) 4) What are your views on Budget this year? 5) What is the Normal Probability function? (Told them about the basic definition of NP) 6) What was your Startup Pitch (as I won the startup pitching award )?

Mention 3 reasons why you chose this college over other colleges which you converted.

Gaurav: I Converted IMT Ghaziabad, but as I wanted IIM Tag in the long run so I selected IIM Amritsar over it. I also converted IIM Sambalpur, Jammu, and Sirmaur but by looking into the pros and cons of these with IIM Amritsar I choose Amritsar.
