Maheshwara Medical College conducts Medical & Blood Donation Camp at GITAM Hyderabad

Hyderabad, December 19, 2018: Maheshwara Medical College, Chitkul conducted medical and blood donation camps at GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad on December 19, 2018, in association with Lions Club International and HDFC Bank. The team was lead by Dr. Lakshmi Rao, Professor, Gynecology, Dr. Haridevaraya Chowdary, MDS, Dr. Shyam, ENT, Dr. Haricharan, Dr. Sandeep of General Medicine, Dr. Uday Shankar, General Surgeon, Dr. Ravi, Pediatrician, Dr. Pavani, Ophthalmology and Dr. Gangadhar, Blood Transfusion extended their services.

The doctors conducted a free check-up of almost 250 patients and provided free medicine also. The camp included free medical consultation, ENT, BP & Sugar screening, Ophthalmology consultation, and nutrition advice. About 200 units of blood were donated by GITAMITES.

The housekeeping staff, sub-staff, security personnel, and office staff appreciated and thanked the Directors for organizing medical camp on the auspicious occasion of ‘Brotherhood Day’ Celebration. Charaiveti, GITAM Hyderabad Student Chapter organized this program and it is intended to motivate students to contribute meaningfully to our society by instilling in them true democratic values and a spirit of love and oneness. The chapter hosted a delicious lunch for the housekeeping staff and also conducted games and activities.

Earlier, the camps were inaugurated by Prof. N.Siva Prasad, Pro Vice-Chancellor in the presence of Prof. Ch.Sanjay, Principal, School of Technology, Prof. G.S.Kumar, Principal, School of Pharmacy, Prof. A. Sreeram, Director, Students Affairs, Prof. Y. Prabavathi, HoD, Department of English.
