GITAM Hyderabad celebrates Investiture-2018

Hyderabad, August 2, 2019: GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad celebrated the investiture-2018 ceremony for B.Tech Students, investing its outstanding students as office bearers for various student bodies like Charaiveti, DISHA, Engineers Without Borders, Incubation Cell, Innovation Centre, Kalakriti, NSS, PR & Media Cell and Sports & Games on August 2, 2018. It was a day imbued with a sense of pride, humility, and leadership.

The occasion was graced by the Journalist, Translator, Public Speaker, Story-teller and a Social Activist K.Raka Sudhakar Rao. In his address, he told about four stages of the learning process that learning from classroom 25%, from individual intellectual 25%, Colleagues/Friends/Classmates 25% and remaining 25% from over a period of time. This whole activity is a part of the study, he said. We by becoming a team player. He concluded with a slogan that, ‘do it constant determination’.

Earlier, in the welcome address, Prof. A. Sreeram, Director-Student Affairs expressed his faith in the power of ‘Service before Self’. He appealed that the campus should be vibrant with different activities. Prof. N. Siva Prasad, Pro Vice-Chancellor, GITAM, Hyderabad advised the student to become an all-rounder with good academics.

DVVSR Varma, Resident Director gave a green challenge to NSS Voluntaries. He also advises that less speak and thrive hard for success. The program started with an invocation followed by Kuchipudi dance by Amrita. The team leaders administered the oath with the fellow members.
