Prof. K. Ramakrishna Rao unveils Shivaji Statue at GITAM

24^th September 2018, Hyderabad: The statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was unveiled by Chancellor Prof. K. Ramakrishna Rao at GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad on September 21, 2018, in the presence of GITAM Vice-President Prof. M. Gangadhara Rao, Vice-Chancellor Prof. M.S. Prasada Rao, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. N.Siva Prasad. They garlanded Shivaji statue and paid floral tributes.

Shivaji Maharaj is an inspiration for all and the students get inspiration from the great personalities, Hon’ble Chancellor exhorted. Shivaji and Gandhiji are different, but Gandhi concorded the world with word ‘ahimsa’ and Shivaji inspired with his courage and conviction, he said.

 GITAM Vice-President Prof. M.Gangadhara Rao advised the students that, they should emulate the great qualities from the great persons. GITAM Vice-Chancellor Prof. M.S.Prasada Rao said that every building in GITAM is named after a great personality and their statues are also erected. GITAM, Hyderabad Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. N.Siva Prasad welcomed the guests and felicitated them.

GITAM, Visakhapatnam Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.Siva Rama Krishna, Registrar Prof. M.Potharaju, Resident Director DVVSR Varma, Principals of various Schools, Heads of Various departments, faculty and students took part in the unveiling ceremony.
