KMS College of IT and Management

Throughout your professional career, you've held prominent roles at educational institutions. What are the primary ties that bind you to the education sector?

"Education is the most important aspect of a person's life. Not only do I consider this my profession, but I also have a passion for teaching youngsters to view the world from a variety of vantage points"

Education is becoming a computerised future in which the ability to read and write is no longer sufficient. We require literacy that can make sense of information and facts. Today, family wealth is a better predictor of a child's educational attainment than money.

As the principal of KMS College of IT & Management, what is your leadership philosophy? How would you describe your style of leadership?

"As a leader, I want to develop a vision that gives my teachers and staff clear guidance"

All kids are unique and deserve a well-rounded, high-quality education that prepares them for a bright future, according to my teaching philosophy. If asked to describe my approach, I would state that I always push my staff to facilitate change in their performance level so that we can collectively lead our students to greater heights. Therefore, more than thirty KMS College students receive merit positions at the university level each semester.

How do you, as the Principal of KMS College, strategize on the most important marketing and administrative initiatives and plans?

"We are all aware that a plan and programme provide your objective a clear vision"

I consider my professors and staff to be the most essential component of the supporting strategy. In certain respects, we have been able to engage our community with us up to this point. Students who are unable to or fearful of studying owing to their own fears or a financial issue in their family are provided with the finest possible options. Together, we have always provided solutions and answers to those in need. As our primary motivation, KARAM MEHNAT SEWA, we do not primarily consider ourselves, but rather our community. We do not seek a perfect method for managing our college; rather, we seek a satisfactory approach to assist our community in whatever manner feasible.

India's and other countries' educational systems are structured significantly differently. In your experience, what are the benefits of studying at your institution for an international student?

"I've heard that the Indian education system is theory-focused, whereas international education systems are more practice- oriented"

However, as I constantly say, education is something that grows and changes over time. I believe that each country develops its own educational system. However, the objective is the same, which is to increase human creativity. Along with the agriculture field, we have the most up-to-date, fully-equipped IT, Fashion, MLS, and agriculture labs in our campus. We strive to expose our pupils to the world so that the gems of India remain in India.

How does KMS College of IT and Management's curriculum ensure the finest industrial practices?

In the next ten years, I intend to upgrade the college's infrastructure to the next level in order to reduce the institution's flaws and boost the students' performance.

What was your vision for the college when you initially arrived at KMS College? Has it changed over time, and how far along are you in executing it?

What do you consider to be KMS College's best strengths?

"Our greatest asset is our teamwork"

Administration of KMS is usually a family affair. The management and staff of KMS College are always interested in topics pertaining to our students or teachers and staff. We seek the quickest and most effective solutions possible. There are no barriers between the college administration and the students, thus it is simple for students to bring their concerns and difficulties directly to the administration and expect a reasonable response.

What do you believe to be the greatest problems facing higher education in general and KMS College in particular?

'Higher education is crucial for economic expansion"

Higher education is confronted with the greatest obstacles of affordability and diminishing teaching quality. The tuition fees continue to rise year after year. Higher tuition fees result in fewer people being able to afford higher education. Our greatest challenge is to give the most inexpensive higher education to our community. To ensure a high standard of instruction, we only hire instructors with extensive experience and knowledge. We attempt to devise every feasible strategy for every obstacle. Online Education is currently the greatest difficulty. Our faculty is overcoming adversity and preparing students for the future by assigning realistic projects.

Do you have any recommendations for the current young and aspiring students?

"My advice to pupils is to gain knowledge from everything"

Qualification will get you to the interview, but experience will advance your candidacy. Not only should we acquire book-centric information, but we should also be prepared to confront all the real trials of life and be able to handle problems and come up with the best feasible answers despite few resources. Everyone can find employment, but only those who are motivated, determined, and skilled can achieve success. I advise my students to acquire knowledge from anything that is productive.

What plans are you currently (or will be) creating for international affairs and/or students at KMS College?

The University has a Memorandum of Understanding and International Collaborations for Credit Transfer Program to enhance international academic cooperation. After completing 2 years at KMS College under the route programme, students enrolled in our BCA programme can enrol in the Bachelor of Computer Information System (BCIS) degree at Fraser Valley Canada University.
