Yes, migration can be done if you have one supply in PTU. You will need to get a NOC from the college and request for the migration to the PTU. The college will charge INR 10000 for the migration. PTU is a state university run by Punjab Government, thus it is purely a government university. It was established as Punjab Technical University and renamed as I K Gujral Punjab Technical University. CGC Landran is one of the many colleges affiliated with PTU and it is a private college too. At present, Punjab Technical University has 121 AICTE and 65 UGC institutes affiliated with it. Yes, you can leave PTU college after the first year of B.Tech and not only leave, you can even migrate from the PTU college to the other. For migration, there are certain rules and regulations. If those conditions are satisfied, you can proceed with the process. You must have passed all exams of the 1st year. Before taking any decision, it is suggested that you contact the staff or faculty. Think about the decision of leaving or migrating to PTU college twice and then come to any conclusion. I want to transfer from PTU to Chandigarh university. will that be possible though I'm studying in 1 year and I want to join from 2 year?

It’s quite difficult to get a transfer from PTU to Chandigarh University. If you want to take admission to Chandigarh University then, you might have to cancel your admission first and then apply there. Both PTU and Chandigarh University are independent universities and there is no link between them. Also, Chandigarh University is not even affiliated with PTU, so joining in the 2nd year is not possible. But in case youre a diploma student then you can join in the 2nd year of Engineering. However, if you wish, you can sit for the first year again.

Does NSIT Dwarka and PTU allow lateral entry in civil engineering?

I am not much aware of the procedure of NSIT Dwarka. But lateral entry in Civil Engineering is allowed at PTU. However, you will need to have a Polytechnic Diploma in Civil Engineering. You cannot take lateral admission at NSIT because there is no civil engineering branch at NSIT. In addition to that, no government college that follows the JAC admission process allows lateral admission.

Punjab Technical University Freeship Schemes

The free ship scheme is implemented for the students of IKGPTU Main Campus and Constituent Campuses for the session 2020-21.

For the benefit of Parent Less student (PLS), Father Less Student (FLS), Special Abled Student (SAS) and Low Income Group Students (UGS).
A sum of rupees one crore shall be kept reserved for this scheme. The students of Punjab shall be given preference under this scheme.

The preference for giving benefit shall be in the following order:

Punjab Technical University DDE offers UG and PG courses such as BBA, B.Sc, B.Com, BA, M.Com, and M.Sc. PTU DDE admissions to various courses are based on merits obtained in the qualifying examination. The minimum eligibility required for admission 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 in the previous qualifying examination.

Punjab Technical University Facilities

The University offers the following facilities to cater to the needs of the students as well as faculty members:

Central Library: The three floored library is inter connected, centrally air conditioned, with a seating capacity of more than 500 readers at a time and is well connected and easily approachable from all the departments of the university. The library’s independent building is also near completion and by the year 2017 the library would shift into its independent building.

Computer Centre: The University has a well-equipped, fully air-conditioned Computer Laboratory with leased line Internet facility, Wi-Fi campus, and convenient printing and scanning resources.

Auditorium: The University has two well equipped air-conditioned seminar halls fitted with multimedia projectors and audio-visual systems, having a seating capacity of 150 and 100. A University auditorium with seating capacity of 800 is under construction.

Hostel Accommodation: The University provides accommodation to students studying in different departments at the university campus. Residences (Boys’ Hostel, Girls’ Hostel 01 & Girls’ Hostel 02) located at its main campus are within walking distance from the academic wing. There are 76 rooms in each Girl’s hostel having intake capacity of 94 students and there are 144 rooms in Boy’s hostel having intake capacity of 288 students. Transportation Facility: A fleet of buses is available for the convenience of students. University bus routes for students are from Beas, Jalandhar Cantt., Kartarpur, Kishanpura Chowk, and more.

MBA is a very good course in India and in other countries as well. It depends on which college you can afford. Business school is highly competitive in India, although the education sector is currently decreasing.
College gives opportunities to the students to be trainees or employees in well-known offices. College gives opportunities to the students in Chandigarh architecture offices, which offer good salaries to the students.
My college has a good number of students placed every year, and the minimum salary allocated to the students for their placements goes up to 16 lakhs.
This exam is LPU-NEST, through which you can take an MCQ-type question test. Based on your score, you can avail a good amount of scholarship and loans for your caste as well.
The campus is very good compared to other colleges; there are also clubs in the college.
No, I have never rented a room or a PG, so I cant say anything. But, in my opinion, a hostel is the best option.

To be eligible for this course we have an above 7.5 cgpa, We get all detail from the registration office, and We do not get any reservations, need to be separate lines so that no rush can be generated in college during fees days.

There are two way to get admission in particular college. First is through counselling that conducted by PTU. Second is direct admission. In counselling Jee main marks and 12th marks matters. You will more benefit, if you will get admission through counselling, you will have to pay less per semester than other students that get direct admission. The eligibility criteria is standard i.e PCM in 12th with at least 60% in 12th. Admission form you will get from the cgc official website, their fee and dates may change each year. So you have to check on the official website of CGC, Landran. There is no much reservation benefit from college.
