What is your philosophy of leadership?
“Leading with idea and ideals”
A Leader is one who can guide a group of people, along with fearlessly ready to take any type of challenge, and keen to introduce any innovation without worrying about the results. He/ She must be interactive in approaches and more responsive in any case of dispute or harsh circumstances. I believe in inculcating true moral values among my team members so that they are ethically strong and honest giving their best for the organization.
How do you establish a healthy relationship between the faculty and the students?
“A successful and systematic set up to strengthen the bonding”
Student faculty relationship is the baseline of any institution and we work in full coordination to achieve the best. Apart from the regular teacher-student interaction approaches, we have introduced the ‘mentor mentee system’ in which we have assigned a few faculties, a group of 10-15 students. The mentor here is responsible for their academics as well as day to day troubles inside the campus. Students discuss their problems with ease and comfort, establishing a bond with teachers and thus creating good relationships.
What are the best practices offered to help students gain necessary skills?
“Several global collaborations for effective exposure”
We have the vision that students should not only engage-on in academic or theoretical studies, but should also have the exposure of different skilled courses which increase the employability among students. For that we have worked a lot of associations with Google for cloud computing and android development, with EDX for different certified courses of different foreign universities. We have association with Coursera campus courses so that students are having a global exposure of what is needed in the industry and the market right now. Students have to face the competition at every step, whether they are going for a job, or starting their own venture or going for competitive exams. So, we have provided the facility of preparation of some competitive exams within the campus, and special mentorship programmes to guide them fruitfully.

How do you strategize the curriculum to make it befitting for the students?
“Providing provisions to kick start a venture and gain relevant skills”
We have introduced various courses related to entrepreneurship and innovation along with regular classroom curriculum. We have included research internships, training, projects and IPR studies to help them gain necessary knowledge and acquire relevant skills. We are preparing the students not only for the industry and different job positions but we are expanding the facility to the students so that they can start-up with their own ventures with creativity and innovation. Apart from job orientation, we also have provision to covert ideas into prototypes or a commercial possible product with our own Business Incubator, approved from MSMEs. We are associated with PUM, An International organisation constituted by some experts of the Netherlands providing free mentorship to the business incubators of the developing countries. So, all these facilities were in our mind that we have converted into reality.
What is the university’s top priority over the next 10 years?
“Highly programmed cells to maximize student’s growth and value”
We are working on modifying maximum start-ups per year, and for that we are working on strengthening business incubators in the University, with huge collaborations for funding and resources. We are also in the process of creating some Centres of Excellence for students to add on other necessary skills as a professional. We have joined hands with different universities, incubators and IITs also so that we are able to provide our students with better quality education and guidance in the coming years. Moreover, we have been working from the last 4 years making the innovation ecosystem within the university campus.
What do you see as the greatest strengths of IIMT University?
“Self expelled learning system and job perspectives for students”
Our university is basically a research-oriented university with main emphasis on unearthing the student’s innovation and making them able to cope up with the changing scenario of the corporate world. Apart from that we are also mentoring our students to come up with their own ventures through our well-established Business Incubators and foreign collaborations. What is your advice to the aspiring students?
“Think big and sound authentic”
My advice to the students, who are going into the professional world, is that they should not only prepare themselves for the purpose of getting a job but also think about stating something on their own that may bring a change in the practical world. They must prepare themselves with pure ideologies of becoming a great professional and thinker.
